SHADOW'S POV:
"I trusted you, oppa. But I forgot at the end you are his brother to understand and accept my explanation! You said I was not a pawn, huh. You are just as much of a liar after all—" Her voice laces with hurt and accusations that was cut off by max.
"Mind your language, Iseul!! That's my hyung you are talking to. Everyone is not liable to act according to you and deal with your assumptions and accusations." He snapped with a roar standing up and towered over her in anger that made her tremble even so she didn't let it show on her face.
Aran and jimin glanced at me when my eyes narrowed slightly as I caresses Ava's chest when she flinched at the voice. "And I'd prefer you to mind your tone, maxwell." I say dryly, his back when stiff like something snapped inside him.
It was not yesterday or today's anger but five years of his yearning and standing in a culprit stand.
"I didn't know I have to teach you, room manners." I muttered blankly before picking up the sobbing Ava. "That's not how you talk to your woman among group of men." his expressions flicker from dark to painful.
His expressions soften, he glanced at Iseul who was still shaken before looking at away and cursed under his breath. He walked towards me while staring at Ava, silently pleading me with eyes and took her from my arms before walking away.
I didn't stop him and looked at isuel with coldly once he was out of the sight. "Trust me, a twenty-seven-year-old bachelor is always better than a fifty-year-old potbelly, Iseul." She swallowed and was about to open her mouth but I was already on my feet and walked near her.
"You have both made ghosts in your past. And, talking about pawns," I started. "Instead of wasting your anger on the wrong people, confront your father, who actually sees you as one. Then you might as well can cancel this wedding." My voice was sharp, cold and little harsh that made her stiff.
I was about to walked out but paused when Aster walked near me but slower her step noticing isuel there. "One more thing," I turned and pull yn closer to me watching Isuel's expressions shifted to her with blank stares.
"Meet my wife and your student, kim yn." Her eyes widen in horror, her expressions paled as she looked at yn who was smiling at her awkwardly, pressing onto my arm like telling me to stop looking so murderous.
