Introducing the Seasonal Volumes!

It has been a great year for anthologies! Now, the Fantasy profile brings you the Seasonal Volumes—collections filled with more fantastic tales of magic, adventure, and wonder. Each volume will run for three months, and each submission month will have its theme. You are free to submit your stories within the submission period as long as the story fits the seasonal theme.

An anthology is a collection of short stories that follow a specific theme or prompt, and we put the fantasy twist to it! Discover a wide selection of authors from all around the globe in the upcoming collections and get lost in the worlds they create.

Our adventure begins now!

For all our upcoming anthologies, this will be the formal guidelines that will operate.

The Fantasy profile will open submissions for a seasonal volume on the first day of the first month of the submission period and will end on the last day of the last month. Each seasonal volume will have a main theme, which will often be a vibe, a concept, or an idea. Each month enclosed in a seasonal volume will have their respective subgenres.

You may submit existing or new stories for each month/volume while the submissions are open.

Your story doesn't fit the current theme? Worry not! The next volume's theme may just fit your story. The profile will go through many possible themes and fantasy subgenres, so there will be something for your story!

Did you miss the deadline? Do not fret! There will be seasonal volumes going out in the near and far future!

We will publish as we get eligible entries until the end of the seasonal volume's submission period. Rest assured we will treat your submissions with the utmost care and respect!

The submitted stories must:

✨ Have readable prose, good grammar, and interesting hooks.

✨ Follow the given theme of the volume they are submitted to.

✨ Have a word count ranging from 3,000 to 12,000 words. We will only allow up to 250 words over the 12,000 maximum word count. Special Volumes (BHM, AAPI, Pride) can have flash fiction (1,000 to 3,000 words).

✨ Follow Wattpad Content's Guidelines.

✨ Accessible for everyone. That means no mature content.

✨ Authors can request to divide their works according to parts. Make sure you indicate the divisions clearly in your document.

✨ Authors will be responsible for their own editing. The profile will only look at the submission's fit to the themes as well as in other guidelines above.

✨ AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.

✨ Images can be included. Just provide a working link for your images.

✨ Please fill up the submission form to the best of your ability.

✨ Please only submit Google Documents for ease of transaction. Make sure the permissions are enabled for us to make a copy of your submission.

✨ Your submissions will remain yours. If you want us to take it down, we will do it. You only need to inform us.

✨ We are not able to process Wattpad links. One of the reasons your submissions are not going through is because they are Wattpad links.

✨ We are not able to take in full novels/novellas, much less series. Do not submit full manuscripts or the first chapter of your novel. We want standalone short stories.

✨You can submit more than one short story per seasonal volume. If you want one short story for all three themes, you can do so. If you want to write one story featuring all the themes, that is also allowed. We want you to have fun with this initiative and to spark some creativity.
