The next morning, Destiny woke up in a hotel bed. She was rather confused, but thankfully, Cat was already up.

"What the hell happened last night?" the confused girl asked her best friend whilst fighting an awful hangover.

Cat didn't answer her question. She just handed her some pain meds, and told her to get ready. She was still very confused, but did as she was told. They let the guys take care of all of the stuff with the tour and hotel, and got in the car.

"Cat. Where are we going? And where is Michael?" she asked worriedly at this point.

"Des... We're going to go see Michael. Something happened last night..." she was trying to break it to her gently.

"Cat! Stop being so vague and tell me what the fuck happened!" Des was angry that Cat was witholding information.

"I can't... you have to see for yourself..." she replied sheepishly. Then they made the turn into the hospital parking lot. Des automatically started to cry.

"Oh my gosh... Is he ok? Please tell me he's ok! Is this my fault?" she rambled through her tears.

"You can't blame yourself Des. It wasn't your fault. There was this guy hitting on you, and he said something that really made Michael mad, so he punched the dude in the face. He tried to stay safe until security got there but the guy had a knife... I'm so sorry Des.." Cat explained.

"Is he ok?" Des practically whispered.

"I don't know sweetie. That's what we're going to find out," Cat helped her best friend out of the car, and gave her a hug before they started for the hospital doors. Des could feel her heartbeat in her ears. As she was led by her best friend through a maze of halls, she was terrified at what she would see once reaching her destination. She finally arrived at his hospital door, all of the possibilities making her shake with fear.

"Maybe I should go first, and ask the guys how he's doing," Cat offered, reffering to Luke, Calum, and Ashton, who had all been by his side all night.

"I just want to see him. I wasn't there for him when this happened, and... I'm the reason it happened..." she fell to her knees, breaking down at the thought of causing her boyfriend this kind of pain and agony. Cat wrapped her arm around her friend, using her free hand to text Luke and tell him to come into the hall.

"Shhhh, it's not your fault sweetie," Cat tried to soothe Des.

"Hey, Cat what's going o-" Luke started to speak once stepping into the hall, but stopped immediately once seeing the girl. Luke glanced at Cat for approval, and when she nodded, he helped Destiny off the ground and pulled her in to a tight hug.He rubbed her back soothingly, "Hey, shhh, Des he's gonna be ok. Everything's gonna be alright," he calmed the sobbing girl a little.

She wiped the tears from her eyes, "Are you sure? I mean, I don't know much about what happened, but it sounded pretty serious," she sniffled, trying to catch her breath.

"Yeah Des. He's ok. The doctors say he's obviously gonna be quite sore and all that for a while, but it's looking like the knife didn't hit anything important. He's gonna be just fine love. I think he is awake now, if you wanna go see him," Luke reassured her. She was about to go see him when Cat stopped her and cleaned up her face from crying. Once she looked like her normal self again, Cat nodded towards the door. Des grabbed the door handle, and set her forehead against the door, taking a deep breath, and reminding herself that Mikey is going to be alright. With that in mind, she stepped into the room, Cat and Luke following close behind. She slowly walked in the room, seeing Calum sitting in Ashton's lap in a big chair, and her beautiful boyfriend laying in the hospital bed. She went over to his bed, and sat down in the little space next to him.

"We tried to keep him awake for you, but he was just really exhausted," Cal mentioned.

"It's fine. I'm just glad he's alright," Des replied, running her fingers through the sleeping boy's hair. She leaned foward as gently as possible and kissed him on the forehead. Much to her surprise, after she did so, a slight smile appeared across his face. She smirked suspiciously, as he slightly cracked open his eyes.

"Hmmm... Never thought I would just wake up to my Destiny," he cheesily croaked out, earning an eye roll from Des.

"Hey guys," Des addressed everyone else in the room, "Would you mind giving us some time alone to talk?"

"Oh, right. Everybody out," Cat demanded, pushing the three pouty boys out of the room, as Des murmured a 'thanks'.

"Well..." Des took a deep breath, and looked in to Michael's beautiful green eyes. "We've got some things to discuss, huh?" she said, booping his nose. He smile lightly, and scrunched up his nose at the gesture.

"I mean, I suppose," he replied softly. She just sat there for a moment, taking in how lovely he is, and that was the moment she realized she couldn't live without her bright-haired boy. "Why are you starring at me like that?" Michael raised an eyebrow.

Des leaned forward, and placed a soft kiss to his plump lips and replied with a small smile, "Don't worry about that, just be here with me." She snuggled in to the side that was uninjured, and he held her tight, kissing her on the top of her head. Des now knew for sure, she was in love with Michael Gordon Clifford.
