Destiny and Catherine arrived at the house that was practically a mansion. Des was wearing a black, form fitting dress with black heals, and Cat was in a sparkling purple dress with heels matching Des’s. She went back and changed after seeing Destiny. She told Des they must have been hotter than she anticipated. Of course Des just shrugged it off as always. They sat in the long driveway as Destiny shot Michael a text to let him know they had arrived.
To Mikey: Today must be you’re lucky day, because there are two gorgeous women sitting in your driveway ;)
Destiny was shocked by her own confidence with the text. She waited only a short moment before her phone buzzed in response.
From Mikey: Yay me! :) I would be even luckier if they came inside!
Mike teased her back. Gosh he was so cute. Des thought she might explode. “Alright Cat! It’s time to go have dinner with some fine Aussies!” Des said nudging and prompting Cat out of the car. “Sounds good to me,” she replied with an excited smile as they stepped out of the car and headed towards the huge door that was to be the entrance of their dinner date. Dessie nervously, yet excitedly, knocked on the huge door in front of her with her best friend waiting with her in anticipation. The amazingly bright haired boy opened the door and his jaw dropped instantly. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Destiny. He noticed that Cat was very pretty as well, but could barely notice she was there with his attention on Des. “Uh… hi, hey. Wow Dessie you look amazing,” the boy noted, his face as red as his hair. Before Des could respond, Cat chimed in saying, “Well I’m Catherine, but everyone calls me Cat. I’m Des’s best friend, and you may call her Des, but Dessie is reserved for me only,” she sassily informed the boy. “Right! Got it,” Michael chuckled back at the feisty red-head. “Um, hey Mikey. You don’t look so bad yourself,” Des shyly smiled at the tall boy who was dressed in a white shirt and black slacks, but also had on a leather jacket. Obviously Des didn’t mind. He looked hot. Really hot… They stood there in awe of each other for a short moment before Cat cleared her throat, reminding the two that they had friends waiting on them. “Michael! Are they finally her-“ the blonde boy Destiny remembered as Luke stopped right in his tracks, his eyes settling directly on Cat. “Woah… I mean um hi… who is this?” he stuttered sheepishly. “Nice to see you too Luke,” Des teased the blue eyed boy. “Right! Hey Destiny. I’m sorry,” he said shaking his head in embarrassment. “You’re good,” Des giggled, “This is my best friend Catherine. Everyone just calls her Cat. “Well hello Cat, I’m Luke! It is very nice to meet you,” the boy offered up a slight grin. “Nice to meet you too Luke,” Cat giggled back in response. “Well what do you say we join the other lads in the dining room, yeah?” Mike offered up. The others shook their heads in agreement. As they entered the stunning room, Cal and Ash hopped out of their chairs, practically bouncing towards the rest of the gang. “My Destiny has arrived,” Ash offered, but Des just rolled her eyes at the cheesy joke as he gave her a friendly hug. “Hey there song bird! Who’s your friend?” Cal smiled, kissing Des’s cheek. “Guys, this is Catherine, a.k.a. Cat. She’s my best friend.” Des motioned towards the petite ginger as the boys went over to greet her and introduce themselves. After everyone was through greeting each other, they all had a seat at the long table. Des ended up sitting with Cat on one side (with Luke on her other side of course), and Mike on the other with the other guys opposite them. With the gorgeous house and fancy presentation, Des expected some extravagant meal, which she was slightly worried about due to the fact that she was quite the picky eater. Much to her surprise Ashton and Calum disappeared for a moment into the kitchen and returned with at least four boxes of pepperoni pizza, and a bunch of different two liters of different kinds of soda. “I hope this is ok,” Michael worriedly scratched the back of his neck seeing the look of shock on the girls faces. “Are you kidding me? This is perfect! I just wasn’t expecting it,” Des smiled at the pouting boy, who was now smiling in relief. “Awesome! I knew I liked you,” Ashton piped up as Mikey shot him a glance that said, “don’t even dare”. Michael was never one to be the jealous type, but something was different with Destiny. Just the thought of another guy looking at her made his skin crawl. She was just so beautiful. Too beautiful for just anyone. Much to his dismay, too beautiful for him in his own opinion. Michael was casually eating his pizza and listening to the others engage in conversation and laughter. He would often look over at Des just to watch her smile. Gosh she had the most amazing smile he had ever seen. He snapped out of his daze for a moment to notice Luke gawking at Cat. He giggled to himself, knowing that Cat was going to be the type of girl to make Luke work for her. Just the type of girl Luke loved.
After they were done at the dinner table, they went into the home theatre the boys had. It was pretty much a huge room with a big screen, comfy couches, and awesome bean bags, they also had a snack bar in the back corner, which Des assumed the boys were after it all the time considering how much they ate at dinner. They decided on watching some horror movie. Michael’s pick of course. The other boys knew he was trying to be sneaky, but Luke was grateful. Ashton and Calum settled down sprawled all over a couple of couches. Luke and Cat had two bean bags set up side by side, as did Mikey and Des. They turned on the movie, and off the lights, making the soft glow of the screen the only source of light in the room. Des watched the first bit of the movie, but ended up cuddled up in Mikey’s lap. She wasn’t as afraid as she was pretending to be, but it was nice to have Michael being so protective of her. Michael observed the rest of the room seeing Ashton and Calum passed out on the couches and Cat leaned over on Luke watching the movie with him. Dessie was practically cowering at a part in the movie that was admittedly pretty scary. Michael softly grabbed the side of her face and lifted her gaze towards his. “Are you alright darling?” he asked, concerned. “Yeah, I’m fine I just… I’m glad you’re here with me. I’m kind of a baby when it comes to scary movies,” she admitted to the smiling boy. “Well I’m right here to protect you,” he replied, staring lovingly into her eyes. Damn she was beautiful. He caught himself studying her face, then his eyes settled on her lips, and then back up into her hazel eyes. He didn’t know what took over him, he couldn’t help himself. He leaned forward and pressed a soft, passionate kiss to her lips. All he could think was wow… It was ten times better than he ever could have imagined. He felt her lips curl into a slight smile against his own lips. When their lips parted, he cupped the side of her face in his huge hands, and whispered into her ear, “You are so damn beautiful.” This was better than any movie Des had ever seen.
