Y/N's POV
I wake up to the sound of knocking, and I slowly sit up in my bed. Through the holes of my windows I could see it was very early in the morning, earlier than I had to get up to prepare for my run. I rub my eyes and cover my mouth as I yawn, and the knocking continues. "Yes?" I ask wearily, pushing myself off my bed. There's no answer, just the continuous knocking. "Hello?" I ask, making my way to the door slowly. I peep through the hole in the door, and see a girl standing there, rubbing her hands together nervously. "Paige? What do you want?" I asked annoyed as I open the door. An eerie smile covers her face, and she takes a step toward me. "Y/n, I know we got off on the wrong foot, and I really don't want to fight with you... Can I come in?" The creepy smile plastered on her face widens as I allow her to step in, closing the door behind her. I sit on the edge of my bed, and I motion for her to follow. She sits somewhat close to me, and begins to talk again. "Listen, I really don't want to have any enemies, especially ones that I could be very good friends with. You're the only other girl in the Glade, and I think we could be like, best friends? I'm willing to start off slow, like just simple conversation here and there." I ponder my ideas for a reply, but none come to mind. All I could think about is how she acted when I was around Newt while they were dating, and how she acted after they broke up. Nobody can lose that much hate for a person so fast, I know because I still hate her. "I don't know," I begin, slowly shaking my head. "Oh come on. I even made you a gift," she smiles genuinely, which is even creeper than her normal smile. I suddenly become angry with this whole situation, and I stand from the bed. "Paige, you never even apologized to me about calling me names to Newt, or calling me names because I "broke you and Newt up." My voice was to a scream by the time I finished, but I wasn't done telling her off yet. "You think I would want to be friends with you after all that happened? Because you're pretty fucking stupid if you think I'd want to be. I'm done being nice. Next time you come around me or Newt, I'm going to kick your ass. That's not a threat, that's a promise. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to go back to bed before I have to prepare for my run. So get out of my hut, now." I walk across the floor to my door, and swing it open with my left hand, and pointing out the door with my right. "Newt doesn't even like you anyway, I mean, who would want you? You're pathetic. You act like you're this big badass, but yet, you're too afraid to even hit anyone. So get back to me when you do, then we'll talk," she sneers, and I contain my anger as she walks past me, glaring the whole time. I slam the door and lock it as soon as her feet touch the grass. I wasn't going to get punished for hitting her, at least not yet. I sigh as I walk over to my bed, and fall onto it and try to rest before running later today.
