BEA HAD A FIRM GRIP ON HER GUN AS she paced back and forth in the church. She thought back to her conversation with Steve and wondered if they could ever have the future that they wanted.
She thought that she heard voices outside as a car pulled up and there was a panic that rushed through her as she quickly rushed to the window.
The voices began to get louder and so did the footsteps and thats when she seemed out of the window, gun ready and loaded in her hand. She let out a breath she didn't even realise she was holding when she spotted Hopper and El standing by a truck.
She opened the door and they quickly turned to see what the noise was, a cheerful look on their faces as they saw it wasn't one of the soldiers.
Hopper gave her a smile and she jogged over, giving him a hug before turning to El and giving her a hug too.
Then she heard footsteps and her hand instantly turned to her gun and before they knew it, it was pointed at the girl in front of them, "Who's this?"
"This is Kali, Eight, she was in the lab with me," El explained.
There was a moment of silence as she tried to figure it all out. She looked at Hopper who nodded and Bea lowered her gun, "Welcome to the team,"
"Wheres the others?" Hopper asked as he realised it was just them.
She sighed, "They're at the lab," she explained.
"The lab?" Hopper seemed angry, like he had just come from that direction and he did not want to be heading back.
"We figured out that the wall goes all around the Upside-down," she explained, "We did some calculations and worked out that the centre of the whole place is the lab,"
There was a moment of silence as Hopper comprehended what his protege was suggesting, that the place came from the lab and that was the centre of the place.
"So you think what? That the lab created it?" He asked.
"Was it something to do with us, the experiments?" Eleven asked as well.
Bea looked over at her, a sympathetic look on her face, "You're not just an experiment El, you are so much more than that," she said.
She nodded, "I'm going to go rest while we decide what to do," El said, Kali following her into the church.
As soon as she entered the church, Hopper narrowed his eyes before turning to Bea, "I don't trust her,"
"El?"
"Kali," he said, "There is something wrong with her and I can't put my finger on it,"
Bea understood that feeling all too well, when you know something it off but you don't know what it was.
