  I was thinking on the situation with Lance Green, and i couldnt help but ponder what was truely going on. Let me remind you that we went to his apartment and he waa acting incredibly strange and suspicious. Too suspicious for someone who claimed that their brother with an alleged short temper would be. Something's not adding up and Im gonna go talk to Mr. Connors about it. If anyone would know and be able to figure this out, its him. Time to go meet him for some lunch so we can get to the bottom of this fast.

  I was 30 minutes late for lunch cause Utah drivers cant drive today apparently. I know im slightly overexaggerating but Utah can often had bad drivers as a Utahn myself I can confirm. Anyway, I get to this spot that we're gonna eat at called Aurora. When I get there, Mr. Connors has a booth for us. Aurora has a 1950's Diner intrior. The black and white checkered floor, red viynl seats and you smell the fumes of fresh baked blueberry pie. Its like something out of a 1950's classic movie. I can now see why Mr. Connors picked this place.

  "Good evening, Valery," he says to me as I take my seat in the booth across from him. "Hello Mr. Connors, good evening to you too." He looks at me and I smile back at him. "So how is school and also how are things with Korey?" He asks me and that reminds me that I never actually talked to him about Korey or the whole guy following me thing. Guess I have two things to discuss with him. "School is good but i gotta talk to you about Korey. Something weird happened." He looks at me and giving a look saying 'Okay go on,' basically.

  "So I'll start with the guy I went to a store and he was there even followed. Like how you would, tail amd follow but he wasnt discreet about it. Also when I made it known to Korey, he thought I basically overreacting and paranoid when I
was worried. Something felt off." Mr. Connors nods as I talk and hears me out something I wish Korey did. "If he wasn't concerned then maybe there's a possibly that he hired the guy to follow you." I roll my eyes, "Of course he probably hired him to follow me. Jerk."

  Mr. Connors chuckles, "Valery you should consider breaking up with Korey. I don't think he's good for you. If he's hiring someone to tail you, this could be bad." I nod considering his proposed idea. "Maybe also I think that something is also up with Lance Green's case. Something doesn't add up there either." He asks, "What do you mean?" So I elaborate, "What if his brother never left and or left for a bit but then came back and he was inside the apartment when we visited?" I propose the possibility to him.

  "That's always a possibility. I've also been thinking on this. What if they're more to them? What if they are involved in something nefarious, and getting us involved was a mistake?" Valery nods and we start eating some lunch and give our minds some time to process and think on what deeper is going on. "I know some shady business back in Maine where I'm from and this is starting to feel like that..." I pause and think more. "You don't really talk about Maine much, Do you miss your son Carter?" Valery asks me and I think to Carter. My boy.

  I have a suspicion that the Lance Green and maybe even his brother might have ties to Highland. I don't have proof or that that's even true so I won't bring it up yet but I think I and maybe Valery might have to go to Maine soon if they are in involved in something as nefarious as The Council or even The Family. Let's hope not but I have a gut feeling and they usually haven't been wrong. Maybe one or two when I first got into the detective and P.I. field. I haven't really been wrong in my current experienced state.

  "Mr. Connors? Earth to Mr. Connors?" Valery is waving her hand in my face. "Sorry, lost in thought. Carter, yeah I miss him. A lot. I was thinking maybe going to Maine. Could also have ties to the Green case. If you could, would you go with me?" Valery looks at me with an eager yet there's a glint of excitement in her eyes. "I would have to work it out with my classes but if so then, yes I'd love to." This is why I hired Valery. She loves the trill of the chase just a much as I.

  "Excell-" I get a call on by phone. I answer and it's one of my friend in the Highland Police. "Hello, John. What is it?" Detective John Rourke always been a good guy. "Glenn you asked about Luke Green, well Him and Lance Green are here. Just got word." I knew it. "Thanks John. I'll be there soon as I can. Bye John." I hang up after he gives me a good bye and stay safe. I look to Valery. "Looks like Luke and Lance Green are in Highland, Maine. Looks like we're going to Highland."

  I know a lot has to happen like Valery getting to her classes figured out online and us packing and booking a flight for round trip or just go and get a flight home when we're done. I know once you enter Highland it's hard to leave and once you're in you're, you're in deep. But I left once and I can do it again. "I'm gonna go home to pack and get my classes switched to online. You can book the flights and pack and we can go in a couple days." She says and I smile as we leave the diner.
