Chapter 25 - As Cheesy as this Sounds, I'll be Waiting For You(Thanksgiving)
"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!" I jump on Nathan's bed to wake him up.
"Come on Turkey boy !! Are you going to finish the turkey this year too. Oh, I forgot it's a tradition," I tease him and he makes me fall on top of him.
He then starts ticking me. "Take that back pumpkin pie stuffer."
I gasp, " have you seen yourself?" Dad walks in, "she's true son. Don't worry though. I'll eat all of the turkey before you do."
"Besides, he'll be busy sucking Juliette's face," I add and smirk.
"Blake sure has had a lot of influence on you," Nathan says. I smile and get off him, "well I better go see the preparations."
Dad stops me, "you should rest." I smile, kiss his cheek, and shake my head, "shouldn't you be going over to uncle Drake to organize the football match ?"
"None of the guests know that Dad is back. I'm the one helping this time," Nathan says and I nod.
I walk back to my room and change into a hoodie and sweatpants. I take everything I need and walk downstairs. I find Mum in the kitchen drinking a cup of tea.
"Good morning Mum. Happy Thanksgiving," I kiss her cheek.
"Why does everyone get a kiss except me ?" Nathan says as he enters the kitchen. He kisses Mum's forehead and gives me a big, wet kiss on my cheek. I wipe it off and blow one back to him.
Mum sniffles and we turn to look at her. "I'm a very lucky woman.. I have a good job, a great husband, and the best two children any mother could ask for. I never thought you would be so close like that. I'm truly blessed and for that I'm thankful."
A tear rolls down my cheek. "I'm sorry I made you cry. I just wanted to let it out." Dad comes and stands behind Mum and smiles at her.
Nathan and I look at each other and smile. "GROUP HUG !!" We shout together and go in for a hug.
"Thank you God," I whisper. I really never noticed how blessed I was. I have a roof above my head, a bed to sleep on, and food in the pantry. I have an amazing brother who's getting married to an amazing girl who became so close to me. I have wonderful parents who never laid a hand on me. I'm getting educated and have great marks. I have wonderful friends who are always there for me. Thank you God for blessing me with this wonderful life.

I walk into the venue where the dinner is being held. I find people running around setting things up.
I stand on top of a chair and call everyone for their attention. "Hi, first of all I'd like to thank you all for setting everything up and actually working on Thanksgiving. The place looks amazing and it wouldn't be like that if it wasn't for all of you. I will be here for the next few hours so if you have any questions or need help please come to me. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you," I say and they all smile and continue.
The next hour is spent helping the staff and preparing the place.
While checking the tables my phone rings. I don't bother look at the caller ID and answer, " Happy Thanksgiving."
"Happy Thanksgiving Autumn," Alice says.
"Get your butt over here Autumn. We need you to look flawless like Beyoncé," Alice says.
"No one could reach Beyoncé's flawlessness," I state a fact. The people preparing the table in front of me nod in agreement.
"Okay, Madison Beer's flawlessness. It's three for crying out loud," Grace says in the background.
