Chapter 36 - I'm Trying to be Shakespeare, But I'm Failing Miserably
"I can't believe you're going to prom," mum wipes her tears as she captures every moment with her little Canon camera.
Prom; the day every girl awaits in high school. The day where you dress up and celebrate the end of your high school journey. An event that will always be remembered for the rest of your life. A night that you will either cherish or detest.
I smile sadly as Mum snaps pictures faster than any paparazzi. The doorbell rings and I mask my worries with a big smile as Mum opens the door.
"Oh Kyle, you look dapper," Mum snaps more pictures of Kyle as if he's a model in a photo shoot. I won't lie and say that he doesn't look like a model...
After losing track of the number of photos mum snaps and countless sighs and begs, I finally convince Mum to let us go and head to prom.
After getting in the car and setting of, Kyle and I begin a friendly conversation.
"So Breeze, what do you plan on majoring in?"
"I plan on doing psychology then business because my grandfather wants me to take over his business. What about you?"
"I plan on joining the army. Did you get any acceptances?"
"Stanford, NYU, and Yale. I wish you the best of luck Kyle Carter," I smile and he nods in return.

*"I had a wonderful night Breeze," Kyle states as we walk towards my front door.
"Me too Carter," I smile and we stop. He leans in for a kiss but he earns a hug from me instead. Damn Autumn, back at it again with playing hard to get.
"Good night Kyle." I head inside and sigh, and lean on the door. Mum is having a girls night out with a few of her friends, so the house is mine for the next few hours.
I ascend the stairs with the deadly heels hanging on my fingers and toss them the first thing once I enter the room. I change into sweats and a comfy hoodie and release my hair from its up do.
Prom didn't go as my high expectations. I heard every girl say that it would be the best night of your high school experience. To be honest, I've had better nights.
Kyle was a great date and we had so much fun. All of my friends were with me, except Blake, and we captured every single moment with our phones and Polaroids.
The doorbell rings snapping me out of my thoughts and my eyes immediately shift to the clock.
"11:30 pm, who'd ever visit us at that time?" I mumble to myself as I descend the stairs to answer the door. I open the door and find mum standing there and holding an envelope.
I raise my eyebrows in confusion and she puts the card in my hand and simply says, "I'm going to be at Emily's for a few more hours. If you need me call me and I'll come directly." She gives me a kiss on my cheek and walks away.
Before I mutter a single word, she has already disappeared. I carefully rip the envelope and unfold the letter.
Dear Vanilla,
I've done many terrible things in life that I've regretted and losing you is one of them.
Let me redeem myself tonight, so I've done a small scavenger hunt for you because I know they're one of your favorite activities.
They'll be a small riddle
About an event in your life, whether the past, present, or in the middle.I know I'm terrible at rhyming.
And I'm also terrible for the things I've done to you darling.
I'm trying to be Shakespeare, but I'm failing miserably. That's what I get for not paying attention in English.Okayyyy..I don't know where this 'poem' is heading to, but let's start...
The first time I really knew I was falling hard for you was a few days before Christmas. We were buying a present for someone dear to my heart. Her name rhymes with Harlotte.
(Am I being too cheesy but I'll be cheesy for you if you want me to)
Good luck :)
Blake HToys R Us. Is it open at this time? I grab my car keys, phone and teaser then set off.
*
I arrive at Toys R Us and find a big poster laying on a car.
I knew you'd figure it out
I never, for a second, had a doubt
The next clue isn't far
But I suggest you use your carYou'll have to go to a deserted place
The place I got so close to your face
But had to stop, cause of a cop
Do you know where I'm talking about?Blake H.
The deserted building where we almost kissed!! I quickly get in my car and head off towards my next destination. This is very exciting, I think to myself as I drive off.
*
I look up at the building standing right in front of my eyes. There's a huge poster attached to the wall of the building. I take a step back to take a look at it.The next clue is in your favorite coffee shop.
A place that you go to a lot after your friends force you to shop till you drop.
I'm sure you figured out by now
So what are you waiting for?Blake H.
*
I arrive at Starbucks after a long drive and find three Starbucks Grande cups balanced on a plant pot with words scribbled on them, so I grab them.I'm sure you're tired from driving.
So here's a drink I hope you enjoy.
I hope it brings you joy.
Like you do when you're around me.
This is the last clue of the night. When you're with me it feels so right
When we first really met
It involved food.
And I was a bit rude.
Then music changed everything.Ever since that moment my life changed.
All my thoughts and feelings were disarranged.
Once you arrive I'll be waiting
Because my heart is aching.
Autumn, I need you
I hope it's the same for you too.Blake H.

We're getting so close till the end!!!I can't believe it. This long journey is so close to the end. Have no fear, there's a sequel because I'm too attached to Autumn.
How do you guys think this book is going to end??

I hope you all enjoyed the Chappie and hope you're all okay and are having a good day.
