Present Day

Being the leader of a highly intelligent team wasn't the easiest thing. But it did have its rewards. Especially, for Ace the Rabbit. He knew he had a great team. He loved them. He couldn't ask for a better set of teammates. Or friends.

"Yeah! Bullseye!" Duck yelled, as he celebrated. He looked back behind him and saw the rest of his friends with slight grins. The whole team decided to go to a club for the anniversary of them all meeting together. It was the third year there were no problems on Earth. And they intended to keep celebrating until their death. Which none of them plan on happening anytime soon.

"Yeah yeah, whatever Duck. That wasn't anything special." Tech taunted like a child rivalry. "Oh yeah? You think you can do better than the Danger Duck? Then give it your best shot!" He bragged about himself. "Danger, we all know that was a lucky shot. After all, it took you ten tries." Lexi pointed out.

"Alright kids, I've got this." Ace stood up, cocky. "Oh-boy-it-sure-does-seem-like-someone-has-had-a-little-too-many-to-drink-tonight!" Rev said, fast as usual. "Ace, seriously. You should really sit this one out. This is your 4th drink." Lexi said in concern.

He just ignores her with a smile, and walked over to the dartboard. "Give em here Duck." He said with a grin. Danger Duck grabbed the darts from the board and smacked them against Ace's chest. "Good luck beating my record." He taunted.

Right then, he threw a perfect bullseye on his first shot. Danger Duck's jaw dropped to the floor, as silence filled the team's atmosphere. "Smoked!" He shouted right in Duck's face. The whole group burst into a wind of laughter. Proving, they all had a little too much to drink.

"Whatever. I'm going back to the dance floor. Gonna pick up some hot, drunk chicks.." Danger said as he walked away, defeated. "That was an insane shot!" Tech said in amazement. "You know it. Big guy you want another round?" Ace asked Slam.

"No! No more drinks tonight Ace!" Lexis pulled his grey furred arm. "Alright alright. I'm done for tonight." "Well-it-is-a-celebration-after-all-Lexi.-Cmon-have-another-and-unwind-like-the-rest-of-us!" Rev said, relaxed. "No! I'm actually trying to be sober for tomorrow since it's Christmas! While you're all gonna be hammered in the morning!" She complained to the group except Duck.

"I said I'm done! Now I'm gonna go get some fresh air, before the alcohol comes back up." Ace said, as he grabbed his jacket. He slipped it on, and walked over to the glass doors. The building was set up, with the club at the top floor. It had double glass doors, that led out to a large balcony.

Lexi watched Ace walk off, knowing it was snowing outside due to the winter weather. "Give em a break, Lex. He's usually the most responsible person of the entire team. Show him a little trust." Tech explained. Lexi then thought about it with a bothered expression. "You're right Tech. I'm gonna go apologize to him." She said, then grabbed her jacket off the giant couch like seat they all sat on. It even had a small table for drinks.

She walked off in his direction, while she stuck her arms through the thin sleeves of her jacket. Once she opened the door to the outside cold wind, she immediately regretted bringing such a thin hoodie. She noticed how silent Ace was. She knows he saw her walk outside with him.

"Need some company?" She asked, as she slowly walked towards the railing. "Why not." Ace said quietly. She noticed the sudden drop in his tone of voice. It's not usually this quiet. "Is something wrong?" She asked him as she leaned against the railing like Ace did.

"Everything's alright." He said, still looking forward into the massive city. Neither one said a thing after his response. Only because neither has a clue what to say. But Lexi was always a curious Rabbit. She had to know what was wrong with him.
