"Look!! It's the resistance!" A fighting Ravager yelled in joy. The resistance, is a group of freedom fighters, that are rebelling against Knix and his armies. Which, Rev happened to be a part of. "There will be time for hellos later. Rev! Clear the rest of these sons of bitches out of here! I need a clear path to Tech!" Ace already commanded.

Rev saluted quickly, then zoomed off again. "Seen-him-five-seconds-and-he's-already-giving-me-orders.... Man-it's-good-to-see-Ace-again." He smiled, as he ran. The battlefield then had a long path for Ace to run through, but not for long. So he had to run fast. He picked up Lexi, and immediacy bolted for the corner Tech and Duck ran around.

As he turned the corner, he went temporarily deaf from a bullet flying passed his ear. He could still see Tech and Duck escorting all the women and children, way down the narrow hallway. "Tech!!.. TECH!!" Ace yelled louder, nearly destroying his vocal cords.

Tech turned his head, and saw Ace running down the hallway, with Lexi lying in his arms. "Duck! Finish getting them out of here!" Tech yelled back, as he ran towards Ace. "What happened?!" Tech said in fear. "She was shot in the hip!" Ace pleaded.

"Take her to my lab!.. Wait, where's Slam??" He then questioned. "He and Rev are helping the resistance!!" Ace yelled back as he ran. Tech nodded, then it went off in his head. "Wait... Rev?" He questioned to himself.
---------------------------------------------

"We have to push the last of them out! They just keep coming!" The resistance squad commanded yelled. "You-heard-the-man!-cmon-cmon-cmon!!-Push-them-back-and-seal-the-doors!!" Rev yelled. The last of the horde was either wiped out, or pushed back into the snow covered roads.

Rev quickly ran towards the door, and pressed the red button that shut the reinforced steel blast doors. As they slowly dropped, the bullets stopped, and it suddenly went quiet. "Whew... About-time-they-were-out-of-here.." Rev panted.

"Okay resistance, search for wounded!" The commander ordered. The resistance and Ravager soldiers all put their rifles on the backs, then started walking around. While Rev, had other ideas. "RREEEWWVV!!" The speed demon heard a loud gargle sound.

He turned around, to a giant brown lug, with a red armor shirt, that ran up and surprise hugged him. "I-it's good to see y-you too big guy.." Rev said, suffocating. He put Rev down, as they both smiled happily. "I'll-be-right-back-Slam!-Gotta-see-where-Ace-and-Lexi-went!" He swiftly said, then bolted off once again. Leaving Slam, dazed and confused.
---------------------------------------------

"Cmon Lex! Pull through this!" He said, as he felt her squeezing his hand to the point where it was pale white. Not that you could see because of his fur and his fingerless gloves. Tech had a microscope over her bullethole, with a pair of pliers.

Her eyes were closed, with scuff, dirt and dried swear covering her body. With blood rushing down her leg from the injury. "Tech! Hurry!!" Ace yelled desperately. "I'm trying as fast as I can without hurting her any further!!" Tech yelled back.

He was slowly pulling the bullet out, feeling her wiggle from the pain. "AAAAAHHHHH!!!" She screamed with tears of pain. Ace didn't want to admit it, but his hand felt like it was about to break from her squeezing so hard. Of course it didn't compare to her pain though.

"Aaannndddd... Got it!" He said longly. He yanked the bullet out, and threw his pliers and the bullet on the ground. Lexi's breathing calmed down, as the pressure from her hand started to release from his. "So she's gonna be okay, right Tech??" Ace asked anxiously.

"She'll be fine. I have her a synthetic." Tech said, as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. He and Ace exchanged glances, as he saw Tech's lab jacket. "So.. Even when I called it stupid. Now you're wearing one." He referred to the time Tech wore one in the lab.

"Yeah, it grew on me." He chuckled. Before Ace could answer, they heard a fast breeze get closer. As all the papers and light object flew on the air, a purple roadrunner with red straps that led to a belt, appeared before them. "Tech?!" It said fast. "Wait.. Rev?!" Tech answered a question with a question.

The two stared at each other in shock. They looked so.. Different. It wasn't age. It was time. They just looked different. Like they had all gone to hell and back. "You look... Different, Rev." He said. Rev looked like he wasn't the nice and kind heart he used to be. But now, a tired, angry, and ruthless fighter.

"Same-with-you." Rev answered. It was weird. Ace was expecting hugs or waterworks, because those two were closer to each other than any one else in the HQ. Then, Rev looked down at Lexi. "Is-she-alright?-What-happened-to-her?-Was-she-shot-or-stabbed?!" Rev flipped out.

"Rev..." Ace said. "Cuz-I-haven't-seen-any-of-you-in-years-and-now-don't-tell-me-we-lost-Lexi!" "Rev.." Ace tried to speak again. "Please-please-please-please-be-okay-Lexi!!!" He shouted. "REV!!" Ace finally yelled, as he closed the bird's beak with his hand.

"Please... Stop. Talking." Ace sighed. It almost hurt Rev, getting yelled at as soon as they were reunited. "Whoa Ace, calm down. He hasn't seen us in a long time." Tech said. He knew this wasn't Ace. It wast him to act this way. Especially around his old friends. But the takeover changed everyone. They just didn't know it yet.

"Rev... I'm sorry." Ace sighed, knowing he was right. "It's-alright-Ace-I-know-you-mean-well!-I-also-know-you-accidentally-let-her-get-shot-but-it-wasn't-your-fault!" Rev spoke.
Ace quickly tensed up. While Tech, stood with big eyes. Rev quickly closed his own beak with his hand.

Ace stood up, and walked out of the lab. "Wait! Ace!!" Tech yelled, as he and Rev looked out the door. Then, they suddenly heard Duck's voice. "They're all safely in their quarters! Thanks to mwa.... What are we looking at?" He joined them and watched Ace walk away.

Rev and Tech looked a him with a "are you freaking serious" expression. "What?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Nice going, Rev." Tech said. "I'm-sorry!-It-was-an-accident!-You-know-I-can't-ever-control-what-I-usually-say!" Rev tried to explain himself, but failed.

"Wait a second... Oh my god Rev is here!" Duck said, stupidly as usual. As Rev wanted to hit him as hard as he could, they heard a faint moan from inside the lab. Tech quickly turned around, and saw Lexi opening her eyes. "Lex!" He yelled in joy as he ran in with the others.

"Nnnn... Tech..?" She questioned faintly, as she tried to adjust her vision. "Sshhh... Don't move too much. The bandages will come off and your medicine won't run through your body." Tech said as he sat down beside her. "W-where's Ace.." Her first worry was.

"He brought you here. The fight ended, but everyone is alright. Just banged up a little." Tech chuckled. "But where is he.." She said clearly, as she tried to sit up. "Well..." Tech tried to explain. "Where is he, Tech." She said more sternly.

"He kind of... Ran off. Thanks to Rev." He eyes him. Rev nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "I gotta go find him." Lexi tried to sit up. "No, we have to go find him. You need to rest." Tech said back sternly. "But you don't know what happened. None of you." She spoke. They were all lost at her words.

"I was conscious, when he brought me. Nearly bleeding to death. I was lying on the ground, fearful... That my end was here. Until, he picked me up, and covered me with himself. He was ready to die... To save my life. I need to talk to him. Now." She said sternly.

"*long sigh* I won't argue with you... But I also don't think you should get up. But if that's your choice, so be it." Tech said blankly. He easily helped her off the table, and helped her stand up. "Can you stand?" He asked. She nodded. But as she tried to walk, she immediately fell.

If Tech wouldn't have caught her, she would have broken her nose on the floor most likely. She tried getting up again, but this time she kept her balance. Tech slowly let go, to see if she could walk on her own. She took a couple steps, finally figuring it out.

She took baby steps, as she walked to the hallway. "Which way dos he go?" She asked. The three pointed down the left side of the hallway. "Alright. I can find him. Thanks guys." She smiled. She then walked down the hallway, in search of Ace.
