- Friday after school -

The schools bell for last period had just rung and I was carefully packing my textbooks and notes into my school bag.

"Ahh" I quickly retracted my finger and placed it into my mouth, sucking on it

"Darn paper cut" I muttered to myself

"Hey, you ready city girl?", said a voice in front of me

It was Spencer looking at me, he asked me with concern written on his face as he neared closer towards me.

"You okay?" He said, grabbing hold of my hand as if to inspect it.

I pulled my hand back quick "yeah just a paper cut" I added

"Alright then, just take it easy, anyway I figured you would need a ride...don't worry I'm also bringing with us two more passengers from the club. So, my ride is semi full...oh, here they both come" he added

"Hey, we're not too late are we?" asked the girl, huffing and puffing

"Oh thank goodness, he's still here Rue", the boy added catching his breath

"Names Ruby also known as Edna" she replied, lending out her hand to me

I shook her hand, "Lili or Mulan"

"Robert, I mean, me I'm Robert but you can call me Robby also known as Aquaman, nice to meet you" he said while shaking my hand shortly after

"Alright team let's go" Spencer replied

"City girl your on shotgun" he continued

"Oh okay" I replied to Spencer

- a few minutes later -

The library wasn't too much of a drive, it was roughly about ten minutes from our school. On our way there we saw some of our club members walking, while Spencer beeped his horn at them, a few birds were flipped towards our way, with a few curse words in tow.

"Jeez they are a colourful bunch aren't they" he replied

The rest of us began to chuckle out loudly in the car,

"Wouldn't have it any other way Robby", Spencer chimed in

When we arrived at the library, a slight familiarity came back when I arrived in Oaks View for the very first time, and got a library card. The first time I met Natalia, maybe my first acquaintance or friend. Weirdly, I haven't yet bumped into her again these few days, maybe I might see her tonight. Stacey and my cousin Daisy have been going in about the 'back to school party'.

Automatically, I was in thanks to them, a part of me is hoping she will be there. Then perhaps we could catch up, I'm not sure I can call my cousin and her best friend my friends yet too. They are more like family to me then friends. I like that, perhaps I will settle on that idea. However, Spencer and I are not friends, more like the feelings are mutual type but I can't help but find myself blushing whenever I am around him.

Perhaps it's those gorgeous brown eyes, or that adorable smile. Not that I would ever let him know about that. The four of us waited around a table and settled ourselves, ready to start when the rest of us could get here.
