"Good morning sir"Joan my secretary said as I walked into my office.
"Morning Joan,do I have anything this morning"
"Yes,an interview with one Miss Daniels"
"Thank you,let her in when she arrives."
"Yes sir"
I sat in my office looking through the files on my desk when the intercom went off. "Hello Joan,what is it?"I asked her
"Sorry to disturb you sir,but Ms Daniels has arrived should I show her in?"
"Yes,please do."I said before hanging up.
Moments later,I heard a knock on the door signaling Joan's arrival."Come in"I said not lifting my eyes up from my work
"Mr Carlisle this is Ms Reva Daniels"Joan said as she dropped Ms Daniels file on my table
"Thank you,you can leave now"I said flipping through the file
"Yes sir." After she left,I turned to the woman sitting across from me and I was transfixed,I couldn't take my eyes of her.
"So Ms....."
"Daniels,Ms Reva Daniels."
"Yes,Ms Daniels I've seen your resume and I am quite impressed,why don't you tell me of your past experiences in other companies"
"Okay,I was working at........" As she was answering my questions,I began to think about that one night I let everything go wrong. Hell,I didn't even know the girls name,I didn't even know when it happened. I've been looking for her for a very long time and now I have someone that looks exactly like her sitting across me. It couldn't be her,that girl lived at Cuba not at Manhattan. It couldn't be her.
"Mr Carlisle, I've answered the question" Ms Daniels said bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Yes,I can't say am not impressed,I look forward to working with you."I said standing up and shaking her hand.
"Thank you sir,I look forward to working here." She said as she left the office. After she left,I let out a sigh of relief and sank into my sit. I need to concentrate on my engagement and forget about the girl." Yes,that's what I need to do."I said to myself as I picked up the phone to call Max.
