Reva's POV
Shopping for clothes for the engagement was one thing, wearing that dress to the engagement was something else. It didn't help that I felt some kind of attraction towards the soon to be married man. An attraction that I didn't want to feel... It was crazy though. I decided that I was going to go to the engagement party and that would be the end of those feelings.

The bride to be stood out like a sour thumb. She was so pretty in her dress as she socialized with everyone. She looked happy and I couldn't help but be envious of her, but I let that thought go. Feeling a presence, I turned to my side just to be met with my best friends face
" You should stop standing like a statue Rev" she said "Dance, have fun and let go...the kids are fine." Nodding I let her drag me to the dance floor. Not really in the mood the dance I swayed to the music playing. I was so out of it, I didn't feel the tap on my shoulder till it became insistent. Turning to curse out whoever it was that was tapping me, I met my boss. Blushing, I turned to leave but I didn't go far before he pulled me back.
" Reva, would you like to dance with me?" he asked. I should have said no, I really should have but I found myself saying yes like my mouth had I mind of its own. As we danced, I couldn't help but stare at his face...he was beautiful. Soon, we found ourselves outside on the terrance laughing be like there was tomorrow.
"Reva, I had fun, thank you" he said
"Me too sir"
"Not sir Reva, Damon"
"Ok si...I mean Damon" He took a step closer and said
"You are beautiful Reva" closing that gap, our lip almost close, we were lost in our own world but then a voice had to come and bring us back to reality
"There you are Damon, we have to go say bye the guest" she said dragging him away not even acknowledging the fact that I was there. As I stared at his retreating figure, I couldn't help but be sick, I had almost kissed an engaged man.
