Rrrrng Rrrrng Rrrrng my alarm rang, groaning I looked at it and immediately I realized that if I spent any more time on my bed I would be late to work and my kids would be late to school and I couldn't afford that... jumping up, I ran to their room and woke them up. We all hurriedly got dressed and had breakfast before we left the house and I dropped them off at their school and I was off to work. On getting there, I hurriedly got down from the car and ran towards the elevator. Catching my breath, I looked up to see Kyle smiling down out me.
"Reva! You look like you just ran a marathon" He said while holding a laugh
"Hello to you to Kyle, laugh all you want" I said
"No need to be grumpy, I'll walk you to your office" He said as we got out of the elevator. As we walked, we talked about different things and got to know each other.
On getting there, he turned to me
" Well Reva, I've got to go...don't miss me too much"
"I don't think I'll miss you at all but I know you'll miss me" I said as I dropped the belongings on my table
"Bye Kyle or you're going to be late, See you at lunch."
"Bye,I'll go since you can't wait to get rid of me,see you at lunch." He said as he stepped out of my office.

As I was working on some paperwork for consulting I heard a knock on the my door
"Come in" I said. Once the door was open, I looked up to see Melanie
"Ow hi Mel, how are you"
"I'm good,how about you"
"I'm good, not to sound mean or anything but  why are you here?"
"Ow yh, I came to pass this out" she said handing me a card
"Ow thanks"
"OK bye" she said and left.
Immediately she left, I opened up the card and  I found out that it was an invitation to the CEO's engagement party. Of course he would be engaged, this only meant that I had to get over the way he was affecting me. I then went back to the pile of work that was on my table.
Time for lunch soon came and I left my work to go to the cafeteria. On getting there, I went over to Melanie's table and sat there
"Hey guys " I said as I sat down.
"Hey" they said back
"Soo" Mel started " Reva are you going for the engagement party" she asked
"I don't know Mel I don't know where I'll leave my kids" I said
"You have to come,I'll get a babysitter" she said
"Do I have to" I asked
"Yes you do," said Clara and Sandra in unison agreeing with Mel
" Well, ok I'll go but Mel, you have to get a really good babysitter" I said
"Its settled the, we'll go shopping later" She said squealing like a little child on Christmas. As they talked about the party, my mind zoned off thinking of so many things.
