The bruises take few days to start to fade, and it becomes evidently clear that Prom is on everyone's mind. Thankfully, I have the best friends a girl could ask for. All the details for the occasion were able to be dealt with without too much of my assistance.

Saturday falls upon me faster than I can blink. The sound of laughter and music brings me out of my thoughts. Kayla and Carly clearing having way to much fun playing Barbie with me. Currently, I'm on hour three of them playing hairdresser and cosmetician. Basically, I'm a victim to the ordeal. When Kayla brings out my dress I had purchased months prior, I ignore the little pangs of panic. It slides on over my head and zips up with zero issues.

Once they give me the final stamp of approval, I take a seat and wait for Kayla to finish getting herself ready. Carly is currently over the moon over being part of the chaos. I'm over the moon that we still have the hotel rooms. As much as I hate to admit it, my dad was right about not returning to the house. My dad, Brandon, and a few other friends helped pack up more of Carly and my things and bring them to the hotel. This, at least, helped with the comfort aspect.

I shriek in delight when Kayla emerges from the bathroom. She looks absolutely stunning! We giggle and laugh while Carly snaps a few photos for us. I  get distracted by the sound of a phone ringing. Carly pulls her cell phone from her pocket, briefly looking at the caller ID before answering.

"Hey Zach, you guys ready?"

"Zach?" I frown. She brushes me aside.

Something Zach's saying makes Carly's eyes widen in disbelief, then a grin spreads across her face.

"You're kidding!" She laughs.

"What is it?" Kayla demands. She brushes Kayla off and steps away a few more feet from us.

"No worries. I'll have them downstairs in a few moments." She doesn't give us any hint of the conversation as she ends the call and shoves her phone back in her pocket. A huge smile still on her face.

"C'mon girls! We've got to get going." She claps her hands at us.

We exchange looks before shrugging and mutually deciding to just go with it. Kayla grabs our purses as I hold the door open for them to follow me out to the hotel hallway.

The moment we step out of the elevator Brandon and Zach rush over to greet us. I notice my dad and Angela conspicuously snapping photos from a safe distance. We exchange greetings and the guys lead us outside. Kayla freezes in front me though causing me to almost trip on my dress.

"Kayla! What..." I see her pointing in front of her.

I cast my gaze forward and see a sleek shiny black limousine. Totally overkill. Totally amazing though. I look back at Zach and see him and Brandon high-fiving at how they surprised us. They each take turns helping us into the back seat before climbing it after us. All of us being very careful of the wisps of silk and chiffon of our dresses. When we get settled, the driver pulls away from the sidewalk and starts heading to the venue for Prom.

As we pull into the parking lot, we find it crowded with people in formal dress. The guys scoot out of the back seat first so they can help us out. Brandon straight up carries Kayla to the front doors which erupts laughter and cheers from those standing near by. Zach leans down and wraps an arm around my waist. I send him a warning glare that he nods acknowledgement too. I take his other hand and let him help me up and onto my own two feet.

He keeps his arm tightly around me, providing me comfort as we wade through the crowds towards the front door. When we get inside, I can't stop the giddiness I start to feel. There's actual balloon arches with lights that flicker and twisted garlands of pastel flowers pinned to the walls.
