It was Friday morning and time for breakfast as Hermione soared to the great hall alone and was about to walk up to her normal table but decided to sit with Ginny instead with a frown.

"What's wrong, why aren't you sitting with them?" She asked curiously as she started munching her food.

"Well after you left we had a fight, he called me a nerd and he said I care too much about school, I'm not that bad am i?' She told and asked Ginny who seemed to look the other way with a grin. As hermione tapped her on her shoulder she looked back trying to hide her laughter.

"Well you are a bit, I mean you do spend a lot more time with books then friends."

Hermione nodded and placed her head in her hands frowning slightly.

"But!" Ginny continued to make Hermione slightly cheerful, "he shouldn't have called you a nerd. I think you've had enough of him saying mean things to you, so I'll help you get him back."

Hermione raised her eyebrow. "How?" She asked, Ginny opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out, she then said. "I have no idea. I'll think about it." Hermione nodded and continued to eat her eggs and frequently looked over at Ron who seemed normal and cheerful as ever.

She didn't want to be mean to him back with words she wanted to pull a prank on him, a huge one. She continued to think of a idea but forgot all about it in her next class, Defence against the Dark Arts with Mad-eye Moody.

"Right get into pairs." He said while everyone obeyed him and sat next to their friends,

"Hermione you seem to be the odd one out, very well you can work with Harry and Ron. Despised by this Hermione did not move, she stayed put in her chair even when others glanced at her. She slowly put her hand up.

Mad eye moody spotted her and she spoke.

"Sir is it possible that I can just work on my own." Everyone and the teacher was bewildered by this and mutters came from the students, 'but they're her best friends', 'I heard they'd had an arguement'.

"Settle down now class, shh!" Then he looked at Hermione and shook his head.

"No, it's practical work today so you'll have to work with someone."

She sighed silently and went to sit next to Harry avoiding Ron. All through the class Hermione did her hardest but still couldn't concentrate properly.

"Oh will you just be friends!" Harry shouted impatiently,

"No! Not until he apologises." Harry looked over at Ron pleadingly but he shook his head while saying.

"Why should I apologise for something that was true." He said quietly and continued to work on his spells.

Hermione sighed as she went up to her dormitory at the end of the day failing to smile at Ginny and she realised her situation.

"Don't worry, we'll think of something." Ginny told her kindly as she got into her bed.

Hermione went to sleep depressed but slightly happy as she remembered there was something to look forward to this following weekend, Hogsmeade.
