I opened my eyes and let out a content sigh. I glanced over at the clock and it said it was almost noon. I snuggled back into the covers and closed my eyes, just thinking. Not of anything really just enjoying the September sun seeping in from my bedroom window. The blankets were warm and comfy and somewhere I hear some type of bird making a soft chirping noise. Everything was peaceful and I could even hear Mom downstairs.
I wake up so late on weekends that I either have lunch or have to make my own breakfast, guess she is cleaning up from hers. I can hear pot and dishes clinging, she was washing the dishes. I guess I will lay here till she stops that so I don't have to finish it. It was a beautiful day and I could see the bright blue sky through my crappy blinds.
I really need to get some blinds that don't let any light in, yet in the morning after I wake up its kinda nice to let the sunlight dance across my face. I don't know what time it was when I fell asleep but I couldn't remember saying bye to Ashton. That doesn't mean I fell asleep while talking to him I might of just got bored of him so stopped texting.
I grabbed my phone, I had three messages, all from Ashton. I shook my head, opened my phone and scrolled through them. The first one was him agreeing with something I said and he added a smiley face, the second was him asking if I was there, and the third was him guessing I fell asleep and saying goodnight.
I tossed my phone back on the nightstand and curled back up again, not wanting to go anywhere. I start to hear my tummy grumble so very reluctantly I pulled back the covers and stepped out of bed. I slipped my slippers and my house-coat on, then I ran down the stairs.
"Whats for breakfast mother dear," I asked sweetly. She looked over at me and pointed to the fridge. "I had bacon," she replied. I gasped and glared at her, "and you didn't save me any." My mom looked smug as she washed the greasy pan. I grumbled and opened the fridge looking for the rest of the bacon.
After looking for awhile I heard my mom start to laugh. "Whats so funny," I grumbled. "There's no more bacon," she said trying to hid her laughing face. I glared at her then opened the fridge again looking for anything that might taste good. There was a box of cold pizza and I grabbed some and took a big bite.
"Tara, pizza is not a breakfast," my mom lectured. "Well if someone saved me bacon then I wouldn't have to eat pizza," I said shutting the fridge and taking another big bite in front of my moms face. She rolled her eyes and I walked over to the TV and turned on cartoons.
I'm not a big cartoon person but come on its Saturday. I got comfy on the couch and took another bite of my pizza, it was meat lovers. I'm not, nor will never be, a vegetarian! I love meat and eating vegetable all day everyday isnt my thing. Vegetables and tofu don't have any real flavor, I could never be a vegetarian.
My phone started to beep and I looked down, ugh, it was Matthew. The text read "good morning beautiful". I rolled my eyes and deleted the message, throwing my phone back onto the couch. Its not a bad thing I don't really want to talk to him now, is it?
A couple minutes later my phone beeped again. I grabbed it and looked who texted me, again it was Matthew. He texted me "Are we still going to the movies tomorrow" and I sighed. I texted back yes and threw my phone down, next time it beeps I'm not answering, I have cartoons to watch.
It beeped a couple more times but I didn't pick my phone up, Matthew can see me tomorrow. I took another bite of my pizza and watched my morning, or well afternoon, cartoons.
Blaze
I walked around the town thinking of what I could do today. I kicked a couple rocks and they skirted across the empty sidewalk. Its not that Saturdays arent busy, its just the street I'm walking down people tend to stay away from.
Yet I'm not scared of this street, I walk by without being seen. Nobody cares about the poor seventeen year old boy walking around the bad part of town. Maybe people would come to take my money yet I haven't been mugged yet. Besides I have no money for them to take, guns come in handy to.
I saw two boys walking, they looked about twenty and were bugging and pushing each other. I can see they were friend and I just kept walking, they weren't going to be a problem for me. I mean I could see they were from this street and so I shouldn't mess with them but they were also young and didn't look all that tough.
I just kept walking, not picking up speed or anything, like I said I wasn't scared of them. "Hey," one said, trying to sound tough. I just rolled my eyes and kept walking. "Hey, don't walk away from us," he sneered again. "I can do anything I fucking what to," I said and kept walking.
"Your don't belong here little boy," said the other guy. "I don't belong anywhere," I said, my voiced coated with ice. "Well get out of here, this is where the big boys play," the first guy sneered. I turned around to I was facing them and smirked. They looked at me weird but I just looked back at them.
"Look, I don't want any trouble," I said, shrugging at them. "Well then you should have left when we warned you," said the first guy. "How about you give us your money and then you can go," said the second guy. "Hey guys I said I didn't want trouble, I didn't say I couldn't handle it," I smirked.
I pulled my hand to the back of my waist and dragged my gun into a easier place to grab. "Just give us the money kid and we will let you go," the first guy said. The second guy pulled a gun out of his jacket and pointed it at me.
"Oh, you have a gun," I said, still not scared. "Yeah, so give me the god damn money, but I'm starting to think you don't deserve to just walk," the first guy said, smirking. "Well guess what, I have a gun to," I said pulling the gun out. "You don't have the guts to shoot it," the second guy sneered.
With that I clicked off the safety and a smirk formed on my lips. "Try me," I said with a threatening glare. The second guy clicked off his safety and looked at my gun, "come on kid, give me a break you not gonna shoot that and we both know it." I smirked at his comment and shot his thigh, "sorry its not a break but I dont wanna get close enough to you to break your leg," I exclaimed.
He said some very colourful words as he fell to the floor. I smirked and started walking but guy number one had a gun pointed at me. "You will regret doing that," he said pointing the gun at me. I pulled mine around and shot his gun arm. He dropped the gun and shouted at me but I slipped my gun back into my waist bag and kept walking down the street.
The sun still clouded my face and I kept walking. Ever since I me Tara I had to use my gun more and I don't know why. I swear that girl is going to be the death of me. Yet I didnt feel like killing those guys, I dont mind killing, well not really, but I didnt feel like taking another life. I shook my head and kept walking, enjoying the feeling of the afternoon sun on my face.
