Chapter 45

I walked down the road, all senses alert, and looked around. I was wearing a pair of sweats and a tank top, with a baggy sweater. I had my hood up the rain didn't make it look unnatural although it did cancel out some of my vision and made is harder to hear. Smithy was walking beside me as we scanned the area. I couldn't see them anywhere and it annoyed me, I need something. Blaze was in a van with Keller because those were the two that saw Bry the most out of the group. People wanted to put me in a van to but I didn't let them, I can kick all there ass and no one would be able to tell it was me. Marley and Taren where over at the other end. We brought the van for weapons and we all had headsets so we could communicate back and forth. Blake was in another van by himself. As soon as someone saw him we would all carefully sneak up to them, trying to follow them to where ever they went.

Hopefully they would take us where they are staying, then we could go back again. We were going to have to plan this though and do research because this leader has power. I don't like it but he will have us out numbered and we would lose people if we went in guns blazing. I had another car down the street from where we came from that we can run to or get a ride from Blaze and Keller or Blake, depends who spots them. I sighed as we turned a corner onto the street and looked at the pier. I was planning to walk along the stores till I get to the pier then go to the end to make sure they aren't there. Blaze and Keller are driving around between us and Marley and Taren but I was planning to get Smithy to go off and see if he can spot them father down while I walk to the end of the pier. I can take care of myself and so I don't see a problem with me going on my own, its not like they can kidnap me.

"Anything," Marley asked through the speaker in my ear. "No," I mumbled. "Nothing here either," he said sighing. "Ill let you know if I see anything," I said while looking around. "Kay," Marley replied and then it was quiet again. We were getting close to the pier and I was getting more annoyed with ever step. I mean sure, I know that they are probably gone because it was an hour ago but still. I have been having so much bad luck a little good luck would be nice. "Ill go down the pier and you keep walking and meet up with the guys where we are meeting up," I said. He grabbed my shoulder, "maybe I should come with you." I let his arm fall, "Im fine, he probably wont be down there." He sighed, "then why do you want to go down there." I rolled my eyes, "I just do, nothing bad will happen I will be back soon." He chewed his lip, "I don't know." I gave him a smile, "come on, I can kick ass, I have the radio, and I will only be a moment." He looked nervous, "okay." I smiled, "see you soon."

I took off down the pier looking for anything. There were couples holding hands and walking besides me with umbrellas and little kids running around while their mom is trying to get them together and other people who are trying to stand under the small shelter to the side to get out of the rain. There were kids, moms, couples, old people, yet no stupid drug dealing assholes. I sighed and then I heard screaming come from my ear piece. Blaze and Blake were yelling at me from the ear piece to get my stupid ass back to them. I ripped it out of my ear and sighed, I think I'm deaf. After a moment I placed it back in, "don't scream or Ill take it out again, I don't need to be deaf." They didn't listen and started yelling at me again causing me to take it out again. After a couple moment when I couldn't hear them yelling at I placed the ear piece back in. "Can I talk now," I asked.

"You better have a good reason, be fine, and be turning around," Blake said mad. I sighed, "I just wanted to check out the pier, I'm fine there is no one here, and I'm almost at the end and then I will turn back don't worry." I could hear deep breathing and I knew he was trying to calm down. "Turn around now," he demanded. I sighed, I could tell they weren't on the pier so I reluctantly turned around. "Fine I'm coming, calm down," I muttered. "Just hurry up, we are gonna meet you," he said. Its not like I cant handle myself, they would have freaked if Smithy went out by himself. I was grumpy now and stomping down the pier, I wasn't a fucking baby.

I saw the vans and the guys and started walking faster. If they thought they could bitch at me about this they had another idea. I knew this would start a small fight but I know it wouldnt matter, we would be back to normal soon. I had to let them know I might be a girl and one of the youngest but that doesnt mean that Im a baby and that I can handle myself better then any of them. They saw me and stopped their vans and got out. I could see that Smithy was sporting a black eye now and I felt bad, he didnt need to pay. Yet I guess the guys know that they cant ever hurt me but they can punch Smithy. I could see they were fine to so I guess Smithy took it.

The stood waiting for me to come over to them and I was almost there. Blake slammed the car door shut because he was still mad and that's when everything happened so fast and slow. I heard a boom and then felt something hard knock me over sideways. Something heavy was on my body and I felt a jerk from the explosion. I looked up and saw the two vans on fire, someone had rigged the vans to explode. Then I realized this was a trap and I thrashed, hitting my attacker in the stomach. In a small part of my mind I realized he saved my life. Though I left the power of the explosion my  'attacker' had felt it more and protected me. I felt him put something over my mouth and tried to hold my breath but finally I inhaled the sent of chloroform. The guys were in an explosion, they needed me, I couldn't be taken away. I needed to stalk Bry and the leader not them kill my friends and capture me. That's what happened, they probably want me alive. I struggled but soon I slipped into the land of darkness.

sorry guys I love you and im sorry this is taking me forever to write and im just having a bad week and stuff so my chapters r suckish right now.. im gonna try to keep writing a lot though :)
