Niall’s POV

I watched as her fingers strum the six strings on her golden brown guitar. It let out a beautiful sound, giving me goosebumps everywhere. “You’re amazing!” I said, dumbfounded. “Really? You’re kidding.” She said in pure shock. Why would she even doubt herself, she was naturally talent, anyone can see it! “YEAH!” I cheered, making everyone stare at us. “That’s the first time anyone has said that to me, well besides my family, that is.” She stated, her eyes looking down at her guitar. How could someone not even acknowledge her amazing skills?! “Well have you ever performed in front of anyone?” I asked, curiously. She paused for a moment, staring into space. “Yeah I have. In front of my friends back home, oh and my boyfriend…” She started to say. Boyfriend… well of course a girl like her would be taken. “… well I guess ex-boyfriend now… anyways they all said I sucked and I wasn’t meant to play.” She said softly, tears forming in her eyes. She quickly rubbed them away, and faced me giving me a reassuring smile letting me know she was fine, but I knew she wasn’t. Hearing EX-boyfriend though, made me sigh in relief; it gave me hope. “Why would anyone tell you that? Well I’m not lying to you when I say you’re amazing ya know? They’re probably just jealous.” I smiled at her, making her blush. “Well I dunno, that’s what my mother said to me, that’s what she enrolled me into this school. She thinks I’m good.” she shrugged. “Well mothers know best, and I think her decision was a great one!” I said enthusiastically. It really was a great idea indeed, I mean if she was never forced to go here, I wouldn’t have had met my soulmate! She started to strum again, and it didn’t take long for me to recognize the tune. I soon started to play along with her, and all you could hear was us two playing. I didn’t think she noticed, she was lost in a world with only her and the six strings attached to her guitar. I noticed, every single person in the class stopped and listened to us. As we played the last note, everyone started to clap, including Mr. Lewis. “Wow! Looks like Mr.Horan has some competition this year!” He teased. I turned to face her once more, her face was red as a tomato. “See I told you were good! You’re better than me, and I’m hard to beat!” I winked at her. She giggled, making me blow up inside. She was too adorable for me to handle.

Class went by fast today, before I knew it the bell rang signaling us to go to fifth period. Before I could even ask what class she was headed to next, she had already dashed out of the room. “Well better luck next time Niall.” I told myself. There was always tomorrow, I guess… but that only means one thing. I have to wait a whole 24 hours till I get to see her again.
