Zayn’s POV

The London Eye has always been a favorite place of mine, I don’t really know why. Once we got there, I quickly parked the car, and rushed to open her door. “You don’t have to keep doing that ya know?” Her smile gave me butterflies, it could outshine anybody’s any day. “Yeah I know, but there’s a difference from having to and wanting to ya know?” I gave her wink, and she playfully rolled her eyes at me. “I was really expecting an eyeball.” She blurted out. It wasn’t a surprise to me, she seems like the type of person who would think that. “I figured. Our trip to King’s Cross Station was enough for me to realize that.” She giggled at my remark, everything seemed so perfect. As we walked around, it started getting darker, and this place was going to be much more beautiful.

“You wanna ride it?” The view from the top was completely breathe taking, and I wanted to make sure she would see it. “Ride what?” She seemed confused, it was obvious she didn’t know I was indicating riding the eye. “The ferries wheel!” She looked at the eye carefully, examining it like it was math problem waiting to be solved. “WOAH! IT’S A FERRIS WHEEL!” She cheered, jumping up and down. I pressed my face into my hands, she was so slow at things. “C’mon! Don’t just stand there, let’s get on!” She grab hold of my hand, dragging me along with her. The line was pretty short, so luckily we didn’t have to wait long.

“It’s so pretty!” She said in awe. I watched her as she looked out at the view, her eyes filled with amazement. It wasn’t like it was my first time seeing this, so it wasn’t a big deal that I was paying more attention to her rather than the view. She finally faced me, noticing that I was starting at her the whole time. “You’re so pretty.” The words slipped out of my mouth, and I felt rather embarrassed afterwards. “Uh… thanks.” She mumbled, her face dropping. Without hesitation, I lightly touched her chin, lifting her face up to meet my eyes. I wasn’t really think about what I was doing, it was more like an instinct. I moved closer, as she nervously stood still. And then it just happened, our lips collided, and it was too late to back out.

“Uh…” She pulled away, nervously fiddling with her fingers. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to, it’s just that… I’m sorry.” What the hell did I just do? Zayn you’re such an idiot, you don’t kiss a girl on the first date. “It’s fine.” She grinned, taking my hand. “I-I like you, Rae. I really do.” She seemed a bit shock, but she still kept smiling at me. “Zayn… I’m just not ready yet. I just broke up with someone I thought was the one, and I’m just not ready to start a new relationship.” REJECT. All I could think of was that I was just put in the friend zone, and there was no coming out once in there. So this is how it feels. “I understand. I’ll wait though, until you’re ready.” I wasn’t planning to give up, I would wait until she was ready, then I could accept her decision. “Zayn, I don’t-” “I’ll wait until you’re ready.” I didn’t want to close my mind on the fact that I won’t have a chance with her, I want to keep hoping she’ll feel the same way about me as I do her. She nodded her head, and weakly smiled at me. I was going to wait, no matter how long.
