Liam’s POV
“That Jake kid, is he a bit off?” I twirled my index finger, indicating that the boy was mad. “Oh, no. A bit weird though.” She chuckled, making us all smile. She had such a great affect on us, we all knew she had talent, she just needed to realize it. “Oh well, those people are in the past. You have us now!” Louis cheered, he was right, she had us now to encourage her and tell her nothing but the truth. Her cheeks had a soft pinkish color on them, I couldn’t tell whether they were natural or makeup. “You guys hardly know me, though…” She was looking at feet, covered in fuzzy socks, moving them slightly. “…But yet we feel like we’ve known you are whole life!” Niall hovered his hand over hers, making all of us stiffen up. “You guys are the best!” Her head lifted, with a big grin plastered on her face.
Time went by quite fast and we all ended up staying at her house longer than we expected. “Rae, sweetie we’re home.” A soft, polite voice echoed throughout the house, I figured it was her mother. “Oh, you have guests over. Hello!” The lady resembled Rae so much. We found ourselves standing up again when her father walked in. “Hello.” The man said sternly, he was tall and resembled a lot like her brother. “Good evening, Mr. Haper.” The boys and I said together. He chuckled a bit before leaving us again. “You boys are hilarious, you know that?” Rae’s voice made me relax more, and it seemed like it relaxed the others as well. “Maybe, we should get-” “Nonsense, you boys must stay for dinner. Am I right, Rae?” She nodded, agreeing with her mother, smiling sweetly at us. We couldn’t say no, we didn’t want to be rude and with her smiling at us, there was no way we could say no. So we stayed for dinner.
“This is amazingly delicious, Mrs. Haper!” Rae’s mother chuckled at Niall, who like always was like a bottomless pit. “Trying hard to impress the parents will never work…” Erick mumbled. “Being a jerk won’t help you get a girl…” Rae retorted; honestly there constant bickering was very entertaining. We all ate quietly, not knowing what to say. “It’s really nice that you made so many friends quickly, dear… especially when they are all gentlemen.” Rae’s mother nodded her head at us, making not only me, but the boys as well blush. “Rae’s a lovely girl, she has amazing dance moves.” Zayn winked at her, which made my hand form into a fist, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one jealous as one us flirted with her.
We successfully survived the awkward, yet interesting dinner and before we knew it we were all gathered at her front door saying our goodbyes. “Thanks for having us over, we should-uh do it again something, love.” I smiled at her, making her cheeks blush once again. “Anytime, thanks for putting up with my insane brother.” “I HEARD THAT!” Erick screeched. We bursted into laughter together, as she held the doorknob tightly. Our farewells were going fine, though I was longing to tell her I wanted to go out with her sometime, alone. Just before she could close the beautifully carved wooden door, and shield away her stunning face, Zayn step up ahead of all of us. “Uh, Rae…” He rubbed the back of his head nervously, and I knew I wasn’t the only one who knew what was going to escape his lips. We were so close, so close on attacking him and stopping him from doing what we all wanted to do first, but we were just not fast enough. My hand gripped onto his arm, and it was like a gun once I pulled it back. The bullet fired, and killed us all. “Would you like to go out with me this Friday night?”
