Hello everyone! I figured it would be a fun idea if I wrote some of the things Reader has been doing while he's off-duty. This idea came to me while I was making some cookies lol

Part 1:
"A Fun Little Surprise"
Reader sighs, not knowing what to do. He lazily looks around the shared room, but nothing in the bland room sparks any interest.
He jumps when he hears Nya shout, "I'M HOME!!!"
"WELCOME BACK!!" Reader shouts back. He flops down on his pillow, thinking that's the end of that.
"READER COME HERE, I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU!!!" Nya shouts again. Reader raises a brow in curiousity and sits back up. He climbs down the wooden ladder, grabs his crutches, and makes his way to wherever Nya is.
And where she is would be the kitchen, surrounded by grocery bags.
"What'cha got for me?" Reader asks when he enters the kitchen.
"I got you..." Nya trails as she roots around in a couple different bags, "cookies!!!" Reader's faces lights up and he walks to the other side of the table Nya is at. He gently takes the package of cookies from her hands.
"Yoo, these are so cool!!!" Reader exclaims as his eyes look over the cold package. They're sugar cookies with pink flower designs on them. You know those types. Yeah, those you tear apart and bake, those ones.
"Yeah, I remember you mentioning something about you wanting to bake, so I got you those." Nya says, looking at her excited friend with amusment.
"Oh, thank you Nya!!" Reader exclaims as he lifts their arms and give Nya a grateful embrace.
"Okay, now get out." Reader says somewhat playfully as he breaks the hug. Nya laughs and says "okay" a few times before leaving the kitchen. Reader sets the package down before reading part of the instructions.
"Baking sheet. Okay." Reader turns around and opens a lower cabinet. His eyes search the cabinet for a few seconds before lighting up once they landed on a gray baking sheet. Reader grabs it and pulls it out of the cabinet, and sets it on the stove top. He opens a drawer that's next to the stove and take out the pair of scissors that is kept in there. Reader turns back around and cuts open the package and pulls out the small tray of cookies. He turns towards the sink and washes his hands. As Reader dries his hands with a towel, he reads the next part of the instructions.
"350, got it." Reader says before hitting the Bake button on the oven and pressing the up arrow button until the numbers show on the screen. (im basing this off of my own oven lmao dont judge) Then Reader starts to break apart the little squares and place them in an alternating pattern. This is after he put the towel down, of course.
The oven beeps a few seconds before Reader is done putting the cookies on the baking sheet.
"Gimmie a second!" Reader jokingly exclaims before grabbing a pair of oven mitts. He puts the mitts on and opens the oven, a wave of heat blasting on hus face, making him squint. Reader sets the sheet on the top rack of the oven. Then he closes it and sets the timer for 12 minutes.
"Now what?" Reader asks with a small sigh. He looks over to the grocery bags and smiles.
"Guess I'm putting those away." And that's what Reader does for eight of the twelve minutes.
