I woke up, and all I saw was white. I blinked a few times, and I saw that I was in the clouds. I sat up, expecting to feel pain, but I felt nothing at all. "What the..." I said out loud. My voice! "I- I can talk?" I asked. "Only here." a voice said. "Mom?" I asked. She stood in front of me. "M-Mom... No... How... Why?" I asked not being able to form a sentence. My mom sighed, "There was an explosion, and it killed you..." She said softly. Hiro, I thought. I shook my head, "No... I- I can't be. He needs me!" I said. My mother gave me a sad look, but then her face lightened up, as if remembering something. "The only way you can get in is with a key..." she said. (A/N: And since no one really knows what happens after death, in any religion, let's kind of try and go with this as best we can... That, and I'm no expert in every religion. So, I'm just going to pick a theory of mine, and use it. And if you want, tell me what you believe in, and if you have any theories. I swear I won't judge, but if you're not comfortable talking about it, then it's okay I understand.) "What do you mean?" I asked. She gestured behind her. There were gates... All kinds of gates... The pearly white gates, the red gates, the green gates, the black gates... All kinds of gates... "What are they?" I asked. "They are gates for every religion in the world." Mom said. "How do you know which is which?" I asked. "I think you can." She said. I realized that she was right... The red gates had to be for Hell, the white ones for Heaven... The green ones I guessed were for reincarnation, and the black ones had to go to the Underworld.... Then there were others... "I just go to the one that I believe in right?" I asked. She nodded. I touched my neck, but... My locket wasn't there. "Wh- What?" I asked. "Where is it?" I asked. "Look for yourself." She said, and waved her hand towards some clouds. I peered down to earth to see Hiro... His stomach was bandaged, but he was holding my locket... He cried as he saw the pictures in there. I wanted to cry. "How?" I asked. "They took it off your body after the explosion." Mom said. "But... I need to go back?" But I said this as a question. Mom nodded. "But isn't it breaking some kind of rule?" I asked. "In... Real terms yes... But all of the religions want you to go back." Mom said. "Why?" I asked. Mom smiled, "Because the world still needs you my dear. Your time wasn't up yet..." I considered this. "So how do I get back?" I asked. She pointed at behind me to a portal. "It goes back to Earth." She said. "Mom-" I said, but she cut me off. "Go now. We will see each other again." I nodded, smiling. "I love you my daughter. And you have made me so proud." She said hugging me. "Thank you... I love you too." I said, hugging back. I let go and turned around to face the portal. Then I walked through it.

I hurt... A lot. Machines were beeping, and doctors were around me. "She's awake!" One shouted. I groaned and sat up, ignoring the protests that they made. "I'm fine." I said. "Mam-" A nurse said. "I know, I know, I died, but then I came back, and so on, and so forth. I just want to see my boyfriend." I said tiredly. I was just sore, and the machines had all calmed down now. "Well..." A doctor said. "I'm fine." I said, and stood up, taking the needles out of my arm. I left them all speechless.

"Hiro?" I said. I found him under our tree in the park. He turned around, and I smiled. His face held shock. "(Y-Y/N)..." he said, but then he embraced me. "You were dead!" He said. I laughed, "Yeah, long story, that I'll tell you later." I said. He chuckled, and kissed me. That's when he noticed it. "You can talk!" He said. I laughed. "SHE CAN TALK!" He screamed for all of San Fransokyo to hear. I laughed more.

Now we sat at our house, and after being squeezed almost to death again by the others, I told them everything that had happened. "Wow..." Ray said. "Your mom sounds really nice." Honey said. "So there's... Multiple gates?" Wasabi asked. I nodded. "Wow..." Gogo said, echoing Ray. "Yeah." I said.

"This is yours." Hiro said, and placed my locket back on my neck. "Yeah, we'll need this." I said. He just chuckled. "You can talk again..." he said in disbelief. I nodded smiling, but then I rembered what my mom had said. "But I think it's only temporarily." I said. "How?" Hiro asked. I shrugged. "Well... Can we still celebrate?" He asked. I rolled my eyes, but took his hand, and led him to the bed.
