"Harry, it's a little less then 8 weeks till the wedding," I whisper to him. We are both curled up on the couch. There's movie playing but we aren't really paying attention. The girls are napping and Gabbi's doing her online schooling.
"What day is it?" he whispers.
"February 17th, the wedding is May 10th."
"We still got a lot of stuff to do. What are we gonna do this week?"
"Flower picking. I have some ideas but I wanna see all my choices."
"My choices too, this is a team effort." he mumbles. He reminds me this everyday. I promised not to turn into a bridzilla.
"Your right, I love you..."
"I love you too."
I lean on his chest while he plays with my hair. I zone out to the noises going around us. We don't say anything else. We sit silently together. I break the silence after 30 minutes.
"Can you believe the girls are almost 1! They aren't walking yet but they will soon!"
"What age do most kids start walking?"
"I don't know, let me Google it." I pull out my phone and open Google. "Google says they should at least be standing and moving with adults help. So we are doing ok," I say reassuringly.
"Ok, great, what about talking? They do say mama and dada. Enya says Gabbi. Or at least Gawwi." Harry asks getting more curious.
"Their fine along those lines. And along food lines. We are doing just fine babe," I tell him. He smiles and says ok.
"Are we gonna have a big birthday party?" he asks.
"A duh. They're turning 1! It's gonna be giant!" I squeal.
"Great... Who are we gonna invite? They're one. They have no friends," he replies very sarcastically.
"They have friends! Carter and Elliott!" I snap as if I was hurt.
"They're 8 and 2 months old. And boys!" Harry says protectivly.
"Wow, your girls are 11 months and your already worrying about boys," I giggle.
"Um yea, they are my babies," he says very sassy like.
"Ok Harry, they are still coming. No buts." He makes a pouty face and I laugh. "They are only gonna be 1 not 16." He sighs and says nothing in return. I shut off the tv and stand up.
"Where ya going?" he asks as he grabs my wrist.
"To check on Gabbi, then make lunch," I reply as I take my wrist away. I head upstairs and down the hall. I knock on Gabbi's door and wait.
"Come in!" she calls through the door. She's 15 gotta give her some privacy. (gonna be 16 in august)
"Hey, how's the schooling going?" I ask as I open the door
"Good, I have A's in every class. Im writing an English paper right now," she says as she taps a pencil to her head.
"That's good, Harry and I are gonna go flower picking later today. You mind watching the girls or should I call Anne?" I ask as I wander over to her bed.
"I can watch them, can Colin come over and help?" she says happily.
"You might wanna ask Harry that. He freaked out when I was gonna have Elliott and Carter come over for their birthday," I tell her. She laughs and I smile.
"Really?"
"Yea, really."
She and I head downstairs to ask Harry. "Harry, can Colin and I watch the triplets while you and Lizzie go flower picking?" she asks as sincere as possible.
