The Game

Eva's POV

"3...2...1...GO"!

We all sprinted in different directions. Liam and Timmy went straight down the aisle to the right, Louis ran down to the left, Niall followed him but then turned right so I decided to follow Liam and then turn left.

I scanned the aisle for Harry but couldn't see him anywhere so I carried on up the next aisle. Still looking.

I was looking for a good 10 minutes but I still hadn't found him. I was starting to lose hope until I heard Harry speak into the intercom.

"The games have now begun"!

I wonder who had managed to get a packet. I kept jogging but listening out for the sound of footsteps.

I rounded a corner and and ran slap bang into someone. We both crumpled to the floor. I landed on top of him and he groaned but started chuckling.

It was Louis. I felt quite awkward as the last time I properly spoke to him was the argument we had that night. Now I was on top of him!

"Louis listen, I feel like I owe you an apology..." I turned around and saw a packet of Percy Pigs lying on the floor near us. "I'm sorry Louis but this is just gonna have to wait - I need those Pigs"! I said as I quickly got up and grabbed them.

"But they're mine"! Louis shouted as I ran away.

"Tough luck Tommo"! I yelled as I went around a corner, out of sight.

I kept running, looking for others who might have a packet.

I could hear loud footsteps. Like clicky footsteps - Harry and those stupid boots!

I tucked myself away on a bottom shelf because I was small enough to fit. I watched as the boots walked by and then turned into a run. "Liam, Timmy...give me those pigs"! I heard him shout as he broke into a full on sprint.

I slowly slid out of the shelf and made sure he was gone. I turned around to see Niall only a few yards away from me standing in the middle of the aisle. He was also holding a packet. He raised his eyebrow and smiled. He was ready to run.

Suddenly he broke into a sprint and I quickly spun around to run away.

I tried my best to lose him by weaving in and out of different aisles but he was still hot on my tail.

He was gaining on me as I was getting more tired. Eventually he caught up with me in the chocolate and sweets section. He lunged for me and he caught hold of my waist, he wrapped his manly arms firmly around me and didn't let go.

"Damn it Horan"! I shouted as I tried to break free. I then pushed out with my elbows and surprisingly it worked! His arms fell back and I began to run again.

That was until I screwed up the whole thing and tripped over. I landed with my hands out in front of me to break my fall. I was rolled over immediately and I felt a body hover over me. He pinned my wrists to the ground with both of his hands.

"I've got you Darlington"! He whispered in my ear and I snickered.

"What are you going to do now Horan"? I asked.

"This." He leaned in and I slowly closed my eyes, waiting for his lips but they never came. I felt the grip loosen on my wrists and then disappear. I opened my eyes and saw Niall running off with two packets of Percy Pigs.

"Oh you little-" I began but stopped when I thought of what I could do.

I ran to aisle 9 and put my idea into action.

Niall's POV

I ran away with the two packets and laughed. It was hard not to kiss her just then I was just gonna abandon the whole plan and just kiss her at one moment but I thought 'no, I need those pigs'!

I went in search of Liam and Timmy, I'd seen them get a packet earlier on from Harry.

I could hear stuff going on close to the other side of the shop - I guessed Harry was probably chasing them.

I headed for there. I decided to cut through aisle 9 as it was the quickest way.

I had made it about half way across before I heard some sort of weird battle cry and then felt something land on me. It didn't hurt, it just startled me.

It was Eva, she was holding onto my back in a piggy back and going for the packets.

"Oh no you don't"! I held the packets out as far as possible from her grasp as she attempted to reach them.

I was laughing until I felt the packets being snatched out of my hand. "Thanks lads"! Louis said and ran away.

Eva got off of me and we looked at each other.

"Plan B"? I suggested and she raised her eyebrows and repeated "plan B"!

We both lay in wait on the shelves Eva had picked. Louis eventually appeared from around the corner. He was very out of breath. As soon as he got to the right place I jumped. I landed behind him and held him back. Eva then dropped down and took the packets back.

"Thanks Tommo"! She said and over exaggerated it.

She went to run away but Louis got her leg and tripped her. I didn't think and went to run but tripped over Louis too.

We all lay there in a bundle.

We heard laughing and the distant sound of clicking heels. Here comes Harry I thought.

He obviously wasn't looking where he was going so tripped over all of us and landed on top of Louis and I. His head resting on Eva's bum.

"Can you get your head off my bum please? It's not a cushion"! She shouted.

We all looked up suddenly at the Percy Pigs packets that all lay in front of us together on the floor.

Timmy and Liam slid and stopped in front of us, on the other side of the Percy Pigs. They eyed them and Timmy went for it.

Eva tried to reach out but Timmy bundled them all up and ran to the intercom, Liam following close behind.

All we heard then was "hello, I'm Timmy and I won the game"!

"With the Payne" we heard Liam's voice echo through the supermarket and we all laughed.

We managed to untangle ourselves and walk back to the staff room where Timmy was stuffing his face with Percy Pigs.

He looked so happy he had won which made me feel good and I think Eva felt the same way.

"Losers"! Liam made an L shape with his hand and held it to his forehead.

"Well done Timmy" Eva congratulated.

"Did you see me take them"? He asked, obviously knowing the answer.

"Yes you cheeky monkey"! She laughed.

"I need a sleep after that" Harry exclaimed and lay down on his sofa.

"I'll second that" Louis said and lay down on his sofa.

I looked over at Eva who did look exhausted.

"Eva, get some sleep" Liam spoke my thoughts.

She didn't complain so went over to her sofa and collapsed onto it.

Eventually we all went to bed despite the fact it was 10:30 AM!

I looked over at Eva one last time before I fell into a deep sleep.
