Chapter 8

The next day when I woke up and went into the living room, I saw a few suitcases and my eyebrows furrowed, "Dad! What's going on?"

"You're up!" He said from the kitchen as the sound of a pan sizzling filled the house,
Good morning."

"What's up with all the suitcases?" I asked.

"I forgot to mention that I have this really important business meeting in Miami today. I'll be leaving at 8, and I expect you to take good care of Emilia." That was a lot of information to take in so early in the morning.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, sitting on the kitchen aisle.

"It's because you arrived so late and we need to have a serious talk about that, young lady." He said sternly.

I popped a piece of French toast in my mouth, "There's nothing to talk about. I made new friends."

"And I really want to meet those 'friends'," He said, "You haven't hung out with anyone but Blake in ages, honey."

I shrugged, "I know, I know."

"How about you bring them over next Sunday," He said, "I'll be back next Friday. Now, go wake your sister up."

I went to Emilia's room, which was Disney princess themed and went over to her bed, "Wake up Lils."

"Three more minutes." She said.

"Dad made bacon and French toast!" I said and she jolted out of bed excitedly, "Bacoooon!"

We ate breakfast peacefully while Emilia was talking about how this girl in kindergarten says that she doesn't like Disney princesses and Emilia threw an animal cracker at her. That's my sister, ladies and gentlemen.

"Oh and you're taking Emilia to the Jones's house today to babysit her and Hailey." Dad said, "The Jones are new to the neighborhood and I heard they have a daughter your age."

Talking while there's bacon in my mouth, I said, "You're sending me off to babysit someone I don't know? And why can't the 'daughter' babysit her sister?"

"That's because the younger daughter wants someone to play with." He pointed to Emilia and I sighed. There's no way to escape this.

"Can I at least bring Blake with me?" I asked hopefully.

He thought about it for a moment then said, "Alright, I'm sure the Jones won't mind."

"Do you think their daughter is hot?" Blake whispered from the doorstep.

"How can someone be hot? Can someone be cold too!?" Emilia asked innocently.

"Well, my dear Emilia, when a girl has a fine booty-" Blake started but I choked on my saliva loudly.

The door opened and a cheerful woman was standing behind it, "You must be Audrey!" then looked at Emilia and said, "And you must be Emilia. Hailey, Nirvana, get in here!"

Nirvana?

We heard footsteps but Blake got out his hand and shook the lady's, "I'm Blake."

"Aren't you a handsome young man." She cooed.

I still couldn't get past the fact that she named her daughter Nirvana.

Just then two girls arrived, one that looked about a year or two older than Emilia with light brown hair in two pigtails and a green dress, I'm assuming that's Hailey. The other had short black hair in a messy bob with bangs, a black tank top with a leather jacket over, torn jeans and was wearing a choker. She had that total bad-ass look and I think I saw Blake drooling a little.
