Overall Theme Soaring Innovation, Youth, and Nature
This anthology features stories that celebrate marching progress in worlds that need them. We welcome stories about the wonders of youth, the undying thirst for wisdom, and the cyclical aspect of the natural world. Craft stories of technology and magic for the anthology, The Clockwork Equinox.
Theme1 Cogs and Imagination
Craft a story of adventure, romance, or introspection with this theme set in a world of gears, cogs, and a clunkering city running on steam.
Suggested subgenres: steampunk, historical fantasy, action & adventure, etc. Any are still welcome!
Theme 2 Scientific Magic
Craft a story of magic seen through the eyes of ancient, modern, or postmodern science featuring fantasy creatures, worlds, or components.
Suggested subgenres: science fantasy, romance, action & adventure, etc. Any are still welcome!
Theme 3 Fantasy Noir - Mystery & Magic
Craft a story around the mystery of magic and the darkness of the unknown set in a world of grim undercities, festering shadows, and a dash of spells and thievery.
Suggested subgenres: noir fantasy, mystery/thriller, low fantasy, etc. Any are still welcome!
