Trigger Warning

"Now listen here you little street rats," Morris snickered, whipping out his famous brass knuckles...

Wheels, still twitching in his chair with Les crushing his arm, finally managed to say something.

"Why?"

"Why? WHY?!" Morris screamed! "Because I can! You dirty little street rats don't deserve to be treated like people! You're rats! Scum! No one likes you! Especially you, little crip! Do you actually think that those friends of yours actually care about you? You're just a burden on them. Slowing them down. They would be so much better off without you!"

A tear rolled down Wheels's face onto Les.

With that, the Delancys pushed the wheelchair into the nearest alley way. The alley had tons of bumps and cracks all along the ground, which Wheels definitely felt roling along, and many random pipes ran up the walls.

They tilted the wheelchair forward, dumping the two boys on the floor. They picked Les up off the ground and while one brother held him up, the other used his brass knuckles to pound his stomach. Wheels was plopped down in such a way that he was forced to watch this entire beating. But he didnt know how to feel. His physical body was already destroyed. Now his mental state was going down the drain.

The Delancys, actually starting to feel bad about what they had done to Wheels, only kicked his shoulder and tossed him around for a little while until he went limp. He was still completely concious of what was happening, but he was so emotionally numb that he had no strength to fight back. The good thing was that the twitching had stopped, though.

"Did we kill him?" Oscar asked.

"I don't think so. I can see him breathing." Morris replied.

"Ok. Get the handcuffs."

With that, they dragged Wheels over to the wall and handcuffed his good arm to a pipe. They also dragged a waking Les over to the wall, just out of reach of where Wheels was, and handcuffed both of his arms to another pipe. Before they left, Oscar brought down his brass knuckles onto one of Les's ankles producing a loud crack, followed by a little whimper from Les. The Delancys gagged the boys with dirty hankerchiefs so they could not scream for help. Then walked over to the wheelchair, ripped up the seat, took off the wheels, and walked out of the alley carrying them.

Wheels and Les were dumbfounded. 20 minutes ago they were selling with Davey, and now they are beaten up, left to die in an unfamiliar part of the city. They both started crying.
