Every day, I look into my windowpane Waiting for your wind to caress my curtain. I hold the glass and sip a cup of coffee where morning lights come in— And feel your presence, as cozy as the sun's greeting.
The way you hold my tanned skin, warm and slow, The way you kiss my chin with breath is so soft like a pillow. How every touch makes me stay in bed and won't let go, And your eyes tell stories that everything will be okay and good things will surely follow.
Now when I gaze through the mist or golden glow, I don’t just wait—I write our names in poetry until these tears flow. To rhyme and decorate with words that I couldn't even explain in the way I used to know, In this way I find the way to keep my love for you to grow.
