Most of the night I hung out in my room finishing my homework and a couple times Aunt Ella or Mike would come in to check up on me. But all in all I wasn't in much of a mood to do anything. Then Uncle Byron got home before Aria did and he tells me that the dance didn't end how either of them hoped, that she didn't seem to be into it and I know he felt that pain of losing his kid. I even heard Mike talking to his dad when he got home asking if he's been being too hard on her for the Ezra thing and that he should ask her why she hid things from them. That kid has come a long way since his depression phase and I'm so proud of him.
Eventually when Aria came home she explained it was because of a plan they needed to make for Hanna's mom to get off her back about how she got a police report from her shop lifting. It turns out that was what Mona was threatened with and Hanna kept the paper, so her mom found out and was trying to get answers. From trying not to give them to her she ended up tossing her phone into the sink full of water and is now phoneless. So that was a whole other thing that happened with this mystery person and things are just getting worse it seems.
Then you have Emily. Maya went missing after the swim party and she hasn't been the same since. She's tried to contact her here and there with no luck, but she did finally hear back just before the dance. So she is hopeful that she will come back soon. For Ems sake I hope so too because I can see the worry.
On that note I have physical therapy today. I have it twice a week now, which sucks but I'm hoping to be in shape by the time softball tryouts start. No one is confident in that but I'm trying to be the optimistic one. Aunt Ella and Uncle Byron rotate on who takes me every week because they don't want me driving in case my arm is shot after working it out, but today happened to be that neither of them were able to do it so I needed to find someone who had free time. All my usual people to ask were busy so I had a last resort...Noel.
I get into his car when he picks me up at home Friday after school, feeling tense because ever since he dumped Mona things between us have been awkward. Him and her haven't been on good terms for obvious reasons and I still can't stand him for breaking up with her the way he did just to humiliate her and then start dating someone else. This isn't the Noel I'm used to.
"Ready?" He asks me and stares over as I'm putting on my seat belt.
I give him a small nod, "Yeah."
I hear him sigh and then start to drive. It's quiet for a while, until he finally speaks. "I know you're still mad at me."
I roll my eyes, "What gave you that idea."
He obviously hears the sarcasm in my voice, "I didn't mean to break up with her the way I did."
"Stop." I put a hand up and now look at him, "It's one thing to lie to yourself, but don't lie to me. I know how your brain works. You were being a show off for your friends and made Mona look like an idiot. But you just made yourself look more like a jackass by getting with Jenna."
He obviously has his eyes on the road so he only gives me a quick glance before it's back to the street, "I...I know. I'm sorry. I've tried to apologize to Mona too but she won't talk to me."
"How shocking."
Another sarcastic answer, but he seems to get the hint and stops talking. I love this kid to death but he really is a dumbass sometimes.

Once I'm done with my physical therapy he drops me off at work so I can get some work done and then he takes off. The rest of the time together he tried to make small talk and I was half assing the conversation. It's going to take more than saying sorry and doing me a favor to get back on my good side.
