A few hours pass by of me hanging with Mona in her room. We talked for a little bit about how she can't believe that the police arrested Garrett for the murder of Alison. Spencer and her friends never turned him in, or even Melissa from the video they saw but according to Veronica Hastings, Jenna turned in the missing page from the autopsy that they originally thought the girls took. Talk about being betrayed by someone they thought loved them.

From here she starts gossiping about who would probably look ridiculous at the dance while she shows me what she's wearing and what her make up is supposed to look like. I'm no good at giving advice, especially not about looking nice for fancy events, so I try my best to be supportive of everything she was showing me and move on from that conversation. My mind is all over the place. I'm still mad at Aria for what she did to her dad and what happened with Ezra, but I'm also worried about A being at the dance.

Then Mona brings me out of this thought process and starts to talk about how she is not a fan of Andrew not being around to take me. It didn't really bother me much because I had plans to go to the concert with Bobby anyway, and Andrew let me know ahead of time that he wouldn't be in town regardless to visit his family in Florida. That's when her mom walks in to let us know that she's leaving for her overnight trip in New York, letting us know that it was okay for me to stay as long as I wanted. So I thank her and she heads out with a goodbye.

Once she leaves I check my watch and see that I have a few hours left until I'm meeting up with Bobby while Mona also checks her phone as if wondering the time, or maybe wondering if A got in contact. Ever since we both found out about what's been going on we've been helping out to the best of our abilities. But she seems extra eager today since A is supposed to be at the dance to get their phone back. Hopefully before this person goes and kills someone else.

"You okay?" I ask gently and pat her leg as we sit on her bed.

She softly smiles before looking at me and nods, "Yeah. Yeah I'm good. Just nervous."

"I should have told Bobby that I was staying so I could be there to help."

She shakes her head and just pats my hand still on her leg, shaking her head more. "No, no. The girls are right that it's safer for you to be away from this. We don't need A to have the extra ammo when they already have us. You haven't been involved as much as we have. They haven't targeted you as much as us and that's because this person doesn't see you as a threat."

I sigh and rub my head a bit with my free hand, "Doesn't mean I don't want to be there for you guys, you know? I want to help."

From my words I could swear I saw her eyes light up with a hint of darkness behind them at the same time, as if having an idea. But it had been such a split second reaction that by the time I processed it, it was gone just as quickly. Instead she just half smiles, "You can help by being safe so we can take care of things." Her voice sounded odd as she said that, it didn't seem to connect with her words, like she didn't believe what she was saying. But before I can say anything about noticing her weird behavior she starts to hum, getting up to put one of her French songs before looking at me and smiles, "Wanna play a game?"

My eyebrow raises slightly as I nod, confused by the change of pace but give her a smile. "Sure."

She smiles wider and heads over to her closest, seeming to be searching for something. Then she comes over to me and holds out the box for the board game The Game of life. I smile at her because I love that game.
