Cry’s P.O.V
The haze which clouded my unconscious mind began to shift, drifting away as I woke. I groaned and rolled over, releasing the tension in my neck as it had been pushed against the pillow in an awkward position. Still half asleep and groggy I decided to keep my eyes shut and see if I could fall back to sleep. I let out a long sigh, relaxing against the mattress and sprawled out across the empty bed, stretching in the process.
The bright morning sun shone in through my closed curtains, casting the room in a warm orange glow. I could feel myself drifting off again when I got the creeping feeling that something was missing. My hands grabbed into the bed sheets, searching for something but when I didn’t find it my head popped up. Sliding my hands under my mask to rub my tired eyes I searched around my room.
“Pewds?” I mumbled, my voice thick with sleep. Vivid memories of last night rushed into my head and I found myself growing worried, growing worried that he’d left me because of what happened.
“Pewds?” I called again and glanced through the open bathroom door. He wasn’t in there. Letting out a loud sigh I buried my masked face into the pillow.
You shouldn’t have done that. You should have known he was drunk...that he didn’t really want it. He didn’t really want you. Maybe it would have been different if I’d showed him my face...maybe that would have made him stay...
“Cry?” My head shot up, my hair falling in my eyes as I gazed at the shirtless man at me bedroom door. He held a plate full of pancakes in his hands and smiled almost shyly at me as he shut the door and made his way over to me. “Morning sleepy head.”
It was impossible for me to hold back the grin from my lips. “Pewds...why are you always up so early?” I asked and sat up, beckoning him over.
“It’s not even early but if you don’t want these then I guess I’ll eat them myself,” he said and collapsed onto the bed beside me.
“That’s not what I said.” I took the pate off him, looking at the delicious food and hitching my mask up, revealing my wide grin as I began eating.
“You’re welcome,” he chuckled and laid his head back, closing his eyes. I don’t whether he did that because he knew some of my face was exposed and I didn’t want him to see or if he was just tired. Either way I was thankful when he shut his eyes. I gazed down at him as I ate, just happy that my worries had been wrong...I guess it wouldn’t be the first time. I should really stop jumping to conclusions...
Last night had been good...more than good. Pewds hadn’t been drunk, not that drunk anyway. He was still here and he seemed happy, he seemed relaxed which was enough for me. Plus...these pancakes were fucking amazing.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked, his eyes still closed as he brought his hands to rest behind his head.
“Yeah I did...when you finally let me,” I added with a small chuckle, remembering how he’d continuously kissed me when we returned to my room last night. I noticed his cheeks grow a little red and his shifted awkwardly.
“Sorry about that. I got a little caught up in it didn’t I?”
“Hey, that’s fine. You can get as caught up as much you like. I liked it...”
His eyes opened, shining up at me with a hint of mischief. “Well then...in that case...” He sat up, shifting over behind me and wrapping his arms around my stomach, resting his chin on my shoulder.
“Hmm, I’m trying to eat here,” I chuckled. He smiled against my shoulder.
“Oh don’t mind me Cry. You enjoy your breakfast,” he whispered into my ear and kissed my neck softly. I rolled my eyes and continued to eat my pancake, ignoring the way he nibbled at my tingling skin.
