Sophie's POV
A familiar smell hit my nose. I opened my eyes and found white walls, white floors, and myself in a clean white dress, but it was different. The room was more tiled. I noticed a mirror on the other side of the room. The antiseptic smell over powered my head.
I sat up and let my feet touch the floor. It was freezing. I shivered. I let my mind wander.
Werewolves? Sounds like something that would be in Grimms. Except not so much the human type, more like the killer human craving type. I slowly shook my head. I curled up on the bed and waited. That's all I'm used to, waiting.
Vince's POV
"I don't care whats wrong with her!" I screamed at the doctor who wasn't scared at all. He expected me to reject her because of her mental stability.
"Her social development was completely compromised, she is like a trained pet. She was conditioned to behave a certain way and to receive punishment for the faults. It would take months maybe years to figure out how to really help her." He sighed and shook his head.
"You parents won't approve." He said and it made me snap.
"I don't give a flying fuck what my parents think! She is my mate and I WILL protect her! Do what you can and figure out how to help. Money is not an object." I growled lowly putting my hand on my head. I watched him write something down and went into the observation room with Sophie. I watched him carefully, making sure that my beautiful Sophie was safe.
Sophie's POV
I curled my legs even closer when the doctor came in. I narrowed my eyes slightly.
"Hello Sophi-" He didn't get to finish before I interrupted.
"Are you one of them?" I asked softly looking him in the eyes. He had his mouth opened slightly. He shook his head to clear it.
"Yes, I am known as the pack doctor. I'm here to help you." He said calmly sitting down in a chair across from my bed. He opened his note book and uncapped his pen. I tensed up.
"I'm not crazy you know..." I said quietly looking away.
"I know, you are just different in a lack for better words. I want to help you, but in order to do that I need to know about your life with Jim Phillips." He said putting the pen over the paper. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I can't trust you."
"Why?"
"He said it's dangerous." I said scooting closer to the wall. The doctor raised his eye brows slightly and wrote something down.
"What's dangerous?"
"Everything, he said I.... couldn't leave the room..... because the world would hurt..... me." I said with a tears threatening to spill out of my eyes.
"It's okay, you aren't going to get hurt here." He said comfortingly with a warm smile. I felt very very anxious.
"I want to try something okay? It will relax you and calm your nerves. Okay?" He asked and I nodded slowly.
"I need you to sit on the edge of the bed." I nodded and did as directed, knowing I would get punished if I didn't.
He stood up and walked toward me making me flinch back. There was a loud bang and growl. The doctor backed up a few steps. Vince came crashing through the door. His eyes were the same black and swirling with gold. I felt happy and pretty curious.
"I think we are done for today...... we will be back tomorrow." Vince said slightly angry to the doctor. Vince slowly wrapped his arm around me scared that I might reject him, but instead I leaned into him slightly. His whole attitude changed. He smiled really big and his eyes turned back to his sparkling green.
