Chandler's pace slowed down. He knew if he kept running, he would have a heart attack. And besides, the alien would have gone by now.
Chandler took a deep breath and sat on the left curb of the road. He needed to rest. He just had to. He fell back down on the green grass that by the curb.
"So comfy," Chandler mumbled. He was about to close his eyes and drift to sleep when he heard a faint yelp.
Help. That's what it sounded like.
Chandler got up and followed the sound. It led up to a house. Then he saw above the window was a silhouette of a kid. And three in humane figures were crawling up to him.
"This is bad," Chandler said.
He needed to find a way to get in. He looked and looked for a quick route until he found a ladder that led up to the window. Chandler climbed it and quickly heaved himself into the window.
Chandler clambered himself back up and faced what was coming at him. The aliens. And they were stomping towards him and the boy.
What was he going to do now? He had no weapon or any sort of protection.
Then out of nowhere, the aliens now ran towards them, seconds away from tearing flesh.
Chandler, having no other reflexes, held out his hand. A random surge came through his hand, churned bolts of electricity shot out of his hands, instantly frying the aliens to the ground.
The boy came up to him suddenly.
"You shoot electricity?"Chandler shrugged. "Apparently."
The boy grinned in fascination.
"My name is Emmer. Thanks for saving me back there.""No biggie. And my name is.."
Chandler paused for a while. Should he tell him his real name or should he tell him his name is Davis. The world was different now and weird things were happening. So honesty might be the best selection for him right now."My name is Chandler."
"Nice meeting you Chandler. So you and I basically saw those creatures right?"
Chandler nodded. "There was even one that chased me away from my house."
Emmer was relieved. So he wasn't the only one who knew about this.
"I just found out several stuff about these aliens and I should probably inform them to Arch. Are you coming?"
Chandler nodded. "Sure man, I don't want to risk getting eaten by another one."
"Alright then, let's go."
