I have no idea how long I've been here but I know my ribs are at least cracked. If I so much as maid a sound he came in and beat me. I probably have a concussion and a few bruises in places I can't see and I know I have a fat lip. That one I can feel.

The room was dark with no windows. It looked like the basement of an old school. He had cameras set up in the room. I can't be sure if it's a scare tactic or if he's actually watching me. All I can do now is hope the team is looking for me.

Reid's POV
It's been forty-eight hours and we have nothing to go on. He's disappeared again. I've been re-reading the case files and the profile trying to think of something. Anything. I've come up with nothing.

"Kid, you need to sleep."

"As much as I'd like to Morgan I'm not going to. I need to find her. I'll sleep when she's safe."

He just sighed and sat across from me.

"What are we looking at?"

"Same stuff I was looking at yesterday."

He nods and grabs a file.

"He's got a federal agent. He wouldn't take her anywhere obvious."

"Meaning we have less than twenty-four hours to find her if he hasn't already killed her."

"He's not going to break pattern."

I shoved the file off the desk.

"You don't know that! Why do all of you keep acting like you know he's not going to do anything?"

He stared at me in shock for a moment and then realization.

"Oh my god."

"What?"

"You love her don't you?"

"I owe her my life and career. She helped me and didn't give up on-"

"Answer the question Spencer."

I leaned forward on the table and put by head in my hands.

"I don't know..... I know she's not scared but I am. Not for me but for her and when and if we find her I'm making it my job to protect her. She should be here. It's my fault she's gone and she should be here."

He put a hand in my shoulder and made me look at him.

"We're going to find her and you're going to go with her to get checked out and then you can keep an eye on her for the rest of your life. You need to stop blaming yourself for something detective dickhead could've stopped."

I just nodded and got up.

"Try to get some rest. You're gonna need it to give her a hug."

-----------------
I woke up about three hours later to Morgan shaking me.

"Reid wake up. Reid. Get up."

I sat up in a tired haze and looked at him through squinted eyes.

"What?"

"We think we found her."

I bolted up and stared him down.

"Where?"

"In an old church. We said he wouldn't take her somewhere obvious. That's what he did."
