I got checked out by the doctor and he said I had bruised ribs, a minor concussion, and severe dehydration which entails a hospital stay hooked to an IV. Do I want to be here with a needle in my hand? No. Am I lucky I made it out alive? Absolutely. Spencer had come with me and waited in the waiting room for results. I thought he'd left.

I walked out of the hospital room bathroom after a much needed show and look over at the second bed in the room.

"Spencer what are you doing here?"

"I know how much you hate hospitals so I figured I'd keep you company."

"Liar. You just think I look sexy in this hospital gown."

He chuckled and sat up straight before his face followed suit.

"Uh oh. Why'd you turn into Hotch?"

"I was just really worried about you and now that you're not covered in dirt I can see all the bruises. He gave you a black eye Willow."

I sighed, sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder.

"I'm fine wonder boy. I swear."

He relaxed a bit and put an arm around my waist careful not to hit my ribs.

"I just keep thinking of all the things he could have done to you and-"

I looked at him seriously.

"Then don't. The important thing is that I'm okay and I'm sitting here next to you in a huge hospital gown and aside from the huge IV in my hand I'm fine."

He just stared at me before looking at the floor.

"I had nightmares about what he could've been doing to you."

I did the only thing I could think of. I hugged him.

"I shouldn't have walked off by myself Spence. It was my fault."

He hugged back a bit tight but loosened up when he realized it.

"I can't lose you like I lost her. I can't."

I pulled away and looked him dead in the eyes.

"You aren't going to. You wanna know why?"

He nodded staring at me.

"Because I know for a fact that you aren't going to let me wander off again. You'll be my own personal superhero."

I smiled at him and then kissed his cheek. His face turned bright red and he started to act flustered.

"If we weren't FBI agents I would tell you to get out more but before this case we kinda his either at the office or your place."

"You think you're landlord is done screwing with the building?"

I laughed a bit and shook my head.

"The way he works I doubt it. We'll find out tomorrow though won't we."

"I'm sorry you have to spend the night here. It sucks I know but it's for the best and I don't want you to end up too dehydrated and then end up getting sick-"

"Spence, you're rambling again."

He stopped himself and then looked at his shoes.

"Sorry.."

I couldn't help but let out a small giggle which would've hurt if I wasn't on pain meds out the ass due to the concussion and my ribs.

"It's kinda cute. I mean as long as it's not some statistical bs that nobody but you understands. I think it's cute."
