Besides Kol and Rebekah's arguing dinner went well, all four girls fit together like they'd known each other their whole lives and Stefan was already like a brother so they truly were one big happy family. They discussed moving back into the original Mikaelson Mansion in the heart of the quarter once it was back up to par. "We have to pack tonight guys our flight leaves early!" Rebekah announced while they sat coupled up around the fireplace drinking after everyone changed clothes; even Elijah joined them in wearing sweatpants and a t shirt. "Where are we going?" Caroline asked confused. "We're saying thank you for fixing our horrifically broken family" Kol said coming from the kitchen with more wine. "It's a surprise love, don't worry your pretty little head over it" Klaus whispered in her ear sending shivers down her back. "I think we should let Care pick" Katherine jumped in speeding away and coming back with a piece of paper and a empty glass tearing it into four equally sized pieces. She instructed her to put the name of a place on each piece and folded it up, when she was done Katherine dropped the slips in the glass shaking it up and told Klaus to pick one and that's where they would go. They passed it around silently to everyone but Caroline who sat pouting about being left out though she was jumping for joy on the inside. "Why sleep now when we can sleep on the plane, we'll have a long flight" Kol said refilling everyone's glasses. When the doorbell rang "Katherine!"

"Oh look everyone it's mini me" she rolled her eyes and stepped aside letting Damon, Elena and Jeremy in all wide eyed at the sight of Bonnie in Kol's lap, Stefan with Rebekah in his lap and Caroline in the arms of Klaus. "Kol!" Jeremy gasped seeing the original he'd killed. "Little Gilbert, have you come to die" he asked scowling. "Guys what the hell! I've been worried sick about you since everyone disappeared and what the hell is going on in here what are you all doing with them!?!" Elena screamed. "Listen mini me you're interrupting our family bonding time so go home to your pathetic lives and never come here again" Katherine snapped. "Are you insane this isn't your family it's ours! These are our friends that you nut jobs have probably compelled into staying here" Damon snapped. "I'd be careful about how you speak of our family" Elijah said lowly coming to standing at Katherine's side. "Stefan is with Rebekah like it should have always been, Klaus has let me be thanks to Caroline and I finally get to live my life with Elijah. No one has explained Bonnie and Kol to me yet so Bon, Bekah, Care we'll talk it about that later and Klaus and Caroline belong together. They balance each other out" Kat grinned at Elena's horrified face. "How are you and Kol even alive" Damon asked throwing daggers at Bonnie. "Doesn't matter, you two are un welcomed here so leave us be you're running our evening" Klaus said rising from his seat along with Caroline keeping an arm around her waist. "Guys I know I've been distant and ignoring you all and Stefan I know I hurt you but please come back. You all are my best friends, the only family we have is each other we can work this out together. Running into the arms of the originals is a horrible idea and Bonnie bringing Kol and Katherine back to life was a huge mistake... especially Katherine, she and Klaus are the reason our lives were ripped apart in the first place"

"I, I, I, me, me, me God you're selfish Elena! Katherine is seriously a much better friend than you"

"She killed you Care! She made you a vampire, and now you're sleeping with a monster or have you forgotten what he's done! He's horrible Caroline" Caroline was at her throat in an instant, Damon ran at her but was stopped by Stefan and Kol held Jeremy back. "A monster! You have a lot of nerve Elena" Klaus was at her side loosening her hand. "Easy my love" he whispered as she threw Elena to the ground. "We are wrong for loving the originals when we've all accepted that you are with Damon, I've accepted that you're with Damon! The only reason Damon hasn't killed just as many people as Klaus is simply because Klaus is older. We've stuck by you, constantly forgiving both of you, constantly saving your asses; because of YOU I'm a vampire, because of YOU Bonnie's Gram is dead, her mom is a vampire and she died TWICE! and now when it's your turn to support our decisions and do something for us you give us shit!"

"This is different Blondie!" Damon screamed shoving Stefan away then running and hugging Elena. "How!" Caroline screamed rolling up her tank top revealing her scared lower back and sides. "You remember these don't you Elena. Damon used me like walking blood bag, made me his slave... He raped me! I was only 17 years old and I put aside my hate for him because according to you "Stefan and Damon are finally on good terms Care this would destroy Stefan" so I put it aside because I was your friend! I question if you were really thinking of Stefan because then you go and cheat on Stefan with his brother not giving a damn about their relationship or how I would feel about it and I still kept it a secret from everyone for YOU; I held it in all this time for you and how do you repay me, by killing my mother!" Klaus ripped Damon out of Elena's arms throwing him to the ground punching him mercilessly until his face was covered in blood, he broke every finger, both his arms then broke a table leg aiming it at his heart. "Niklaus stop" Elijah said ripping the stake from his brother's hand. "Think of Caroline, if she wanted him dead she would have done it herself"

"He hurt her Elijah... Look what he did to her" Klaus said heaving clearly trying to control himself. "I'm so sorry Care, I never knew, why didn't you tell me I would have killed him myself!" Stefan said in tears with a angry expression as he picked up where Klaus left off kicking his older brother repeatedly in the ribs until Rebekah pulled him away and into her arms. "I'm so sorry I didn't protect you; you're my best friend I would have protected you. I should have known" he whispered glaring at Elena with hate. "We've sacrificed our friends, our families, Care her mortality and I've literally given you my life Elena! How much more should we have to sacrifice for your sake?" Bonnie snapped shocking them all. "They're our friends, we've chosen a new family and started a new life. We're happy here so if you can't get past that then just leave" Bonnie screamed. "You three have just upset the entire house, if you value your lives you'll leave here because your deaths would be far from quick" Kol seethed pulling Bonnie into a hug and stroking her hair as she cried. Rebekah had taken Stefan away after he saw Caroline's scars, he was upset with himself for not realizing. "I'm sorry Care, everyone... I'll make it to you all somehow how ever long it takes" Elena started reaching out to hug Caroline but Katherine shoved her away into the wall gently hugging Caroline. "You've single handedly ruined their lives Elena, the only reason any of us hated any of them is because of you. Team protect poor useless defenseless Elena. They were abused, heartbroken and even killed because of you, always to keep you safe, always to keep you happy so you wouldn't go flipping your switch because you can't handle pain. You were a pathetic human and you're an even worse vampire. You out of their lives is the best thing for them; we've been together one day and we're all closer than you all clearly ever were. At least I killed the people I hurt so they didn't have to suffer not waived their abuser in their faces" Katherine said pulling Caroline's shirt down and rubbing her back as she cried and Elijah stood quietly still watching Klaus who seemed to be in some kind of trance. "Oh my god you're right guys; I've been so selfish. I will be better I promise just let me save the three of you now by getting you out of here and taking you home" Elena said in tears as Jeremy tried his best to console her. "Caroline I'm --" before Damon could finish Klaus had him by the throat again staring into his eyes. "Damon how long ago did you victimize Caroline?"

"3 ½ years ago"

"For the next 350 years you will forget you ever knew Elena, you will dream of her every night but not remember once you wake. You will long for her and never know why but until your time is up you may never love her again and the only other person who can free you from my compulsion is Caroline herself" Klaus said in a menacing tone. He then went to Elena forcing her to look at him "For the next 350 years you will spend every waking moment trying to make him remember you, you'll never give up and you'll never love another. The only other who can free you from my words is Caroline" he concluded hoisting a still crying Caroline out of Katherine's arms to carry her upstairs. "How could you let them do this Bonnie, Caroline... she's your friend you've known each other all your lives" Jeremy whispered but Bonnie never answered as Kol picked her up and carried her away. "How many times have you had to die for her Jeremy? Sister or not I'd cut my losses" Katherine called as she sped away. Elijah took the three to the airport and ordered them to never come back before sending them off. The house was quiet when he returned home, their great night ended in disaster but the originals were still thankful that the new additions had not abandoned them and instead fought for them, defended them and also decided to stay proving that they truly were a family; and everyone was looking forward to going away for awhile.
