When the bell rung that day Sophie quickly got out of her seat and grabbed her bag leaving the classroom as fast as she could. She went to the stairs and sat on the last step by the railing while everyone went around her. She waited until someone sat next to her and she smiled looking over at Calum who was looking forward.
"Are you waiting for him?" Calum asked still looking forward
"Actually waiting for you, we're supposed to have a movie night remember?" Sophie said making him glance over at her and smile looking back forward
"How could I forget?"
"Hey babe" Wyatt said sitting behind her leaning forward to kiss her cheek
"Oh hi babe" Sophie forcefully smiled turning back to pack his lips
"So I was thinking you could come over tonight" Wyatt said then added quietly in her ear "My parents aren't home"
"Wyatt you know I'm not ready for that" she said quietly fiddling with her fingers
"Oh come on you're almost 18 and we've been together for a year why are you so stubborn?" Wyatt rolled his eyes
"Hey man, she said she wasn't ready respect that" Calum stepped in glaring at Wyatt
"You're not part of the Hood" Wyatt sneered at Calum
"I am when you're pressuring my best friend into something she's not ready for. You should respect that she's saving something as important as that as long as she can, not many people do now a days"
"You need to chill bro, and stay out of other people's business"
"Would you two just quit it?" Sophie yelled pushing them away from each other
"What's going on here?" Elizabeth asked walking up to the three with Lexie, Michael, Ashton, Luke, and Fae walking behind her
"Nothing" Sophie rolled her eyes grabbing her bag standing up and turning back to the boys "You know I would love it if my best friend and boyfriend got along but apparently that's impossible. So call me when you two grow up"
"Sophie where are you going?" Calum asked standing up watching her walk away
"Home and away from you two" she said walking backwards as she talks before turning back forward and walking away
"What the hell did you two do?" Lexie asked looking at the two boys. They both started talking over each other getting their words jumbled, the others only catching a few words.
"Shut up!" Fae yelled making the two boys be quiet
"I don't care what happened, I'm going to check on my friend so you guys deal with your own shít" Elizabeth said walking where Sophie had left with Lexie and Fae behind her.
"Stop messing with my relationship you díck, and we'll get along just fine" Wyatt sneered poking a finger to Calum's chest
"Stop pressuring her and I'll never get along with someone like you" Calum hit Wyatt's hand away grabbing his bag and pushing through Ashton, Luke, and Michael going back to his house. Luke glared at Wyatt while Ashton and Michael just followed behind Calum quietly.
"What happened?" Michael asked carefully rubbing Calum's arm gently
"He's just being a díck as usually. Listen guys I have to go talk to her" Calum said
"Let her have some space" Ashton said holding him back
"I didn't even do anything wrong, I defended her! And somehow I'm the bad guy" Calum crossed his arms frustrated
"I'm sure she doesn't think you're the bad guy" Michael said
"I'm going to see her" Calum said getting out of the hold Michael and Ashton had on him and walked to her house leaving the boys where they stood.
Once Calum got to her house the girls were already in Sophie's room and he could tell by the lights on. He went up to the front door and knocked on it, something he never did, and waited for a response. Once the door opened he looked up and saw Elizabeth standing there.
"Go away"
"Come on Liz, just let me see her" Calum pleaded
"No" she shook her head
"Who is it?" Sophie asked coming around the corner and making eye contact with Calum "Let him in"
"But" Elizabeth started but got stopped by Sophie
"He didn't do anything wrong, let him in" Sophie said moving behind Elizabeth who groaned opening the door more to let Calum in. He walked in setting his bag down and opening his arms which Sophie gratefully fell into letting her arms wrap around his waist.
"I'm always so confused with you two" Elizabeth mumbled walking upstairs where the other girls were.
"I didn't meant to yell at you I was just mad" Sophie mumbled against Calum's chest
"Hey it's ok don't worry about it" Calum rubbed her back kissing the top of her head
"Thank you for sticking up for me, I just want you guys to get along" Sophie sighed
"I can't get along with him after everything you have told me" Calum grumbled pulling back but kept his hands on her shoulders looking her in the eyes
"He's not a bad guy Cal" she whispered grabbing onto his forearm
"After everything he's done to you, yes he is"
"Cal" she sighed looking down
"I will forever protect you, and I'm not going to apologize for what I did. But" he sighed making her look up "If it makes you happy I will try to get along with him"
"Thank you" she smiled giving him one last hug before taking his hand and dragging him upstairs where all the girls were waiting.
"So Calum you're joining us for girl's night then?" Lexie asked smirking
"Um no I didn't sign up for this" Calum said going to leave but Sophie grabbed his hand keeping him from leaving
"You're staying" Sophie said pulling him to bed where all the girls were sitting
"At least go easy on me" Calum pleaded but the girls just smirked
"No can do Cally Poo" Elizabeth smirked
"You're stuck now" Fae laughed
"This is going to be a long night" Calum groaned
And what a long night it was.
