"I don't know bro, it sounds like an unhealthy relationship with me that you are obsessed with" Michael said laying on Calum's bed looking at the ceiling throwing a ball and catching it as it came back, while Calum paced his room

"I am not obsessed I'm worried for my best friend" Calum huffed sitting down on his swivel chair

"I know you're worried but there's a fine line between worried and getting into her business" Michael said catching the ball and sitting up to look at Calum

"I don't know Michael, I don't trust him enough to not meddle into her business"

"Then tell her that"

"I have! And she just won't listen" he frowned spinning in the chair a little bit

"Talk to her friends. I'm sure Fae, or Elizabeth, or even Lexie" Michael said "I'm sure they could talk some sense into her"

"Ok yeah, yeah I'll do that" Calum nodded taking his phone out of his pocket and texted Elizabeth

"Don't worry, Sophie's a smart girl, she can take care of herself" Michael said standing up and patting Calum's back

"Let's hope you're right"

"Soph, we need to talk" Elizabeth said leaning against the locker next to Sophie's

"About what?" Sophie asked hesitantly, closing her locker and turning to Elizabeth

"Wyatt"

"What about him?"

"Calum talked to me" Elizabeth but Sophie groaned "Oh shush, he brought some stuff to my attention"

"It's nothing to worry about" she said turning to leave but Elizabeth grabbing her wrist making her hiss in pain

"What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked in concern letting go of her wrist quickly "What did I do?"

"Nothing" Sophie said pushing her long sleeves further down to where she had sweater paws

"Why the hell are you wearing long sleeves in the middle of August?" Elizabeth asked noticing the long sleeves

"I thought it was cute" Sophie said obviously lying but the bell rang giving Sophie and excuse to run to class.

"Oh no" Elizabeth muttered grabbing her phone and calling Calum

"I don't usually skip class" Calum said walking into the empty classroom where Elizabeth was waiting

"Well this is for Sophie"

"That's why I'm here" he said dropping his backpack on a desk

"So I was talking to Sophie and like you said she wasn't listening to anything I was saying. And she went to leave and I went to grab her wrist to pull her back and she got weird and was like hurt when I grabbed her wrist and she was wearing long sleeves in the middle of August"

"I'm not catching on" Calum said confused leaning against the teacher's desk

"Did she hang out with Wyatt yesterday?" Elizabeth asked

"Um yeah, I think so. They went to her house but her parents were home" he shrugged

"It's a good thing you're cute" she rolled her eyes face palming

"What?" he asked getting slightly angry and upset

"She's wearing long sleeves and her wrists hurt the day after she was with Wyatt" she said slowly,

"I don't kno- oh- oh! Oh hell no!" he said standing up angry grabbing his bag and rushing out the door

"Calum!" Elizabeth chasing after him "Where are you going?"

"To see this for myself" he said fuming

"She's in the middle of class" Elizabeth said trying to reason with him

"Class ends in two minutes, by the time I get there class will be over" he said turning a corner blocking Elizabeth making her run around to his other side and follow him to Sophie's class. Once they got there the bell rang and the class dismissed to lunch.

"Sophie!" Calum yelled getting her attention and she turned and smiled at him but her smile soon dropped when she saw his expression.

"What happened?" she asked warily as she walked over to the two

"Let me see your arms" Calum ordered

"What?!" she asked confused pulling on her sleeves more

"Let. Me. See. Your. Arms. I'm not going to ask again" Calum said seething.

She looked up at Calum through her lashes before grabbing his hand and dragging him to the janitor's closet leaving Elizabeth behind. Once she closed the door and turned the light on she turned to him and lifted her sleeves.

Calum gasped, his mood softening, as he saw black and blue bruises on her wrist and forearm.

"Did he do this to you?" Calum asked quietly

"Calum" she sighed

"Did he do this to you?" he asked again this time not so quietly

"Yes" she whispered looking down at her shoes

"Why?" he asked quietly "Why do you stay with him?"

"He was just mad and I got in the way" she said taking her arms back and pulling her sleeves down

"No, no, no Sophie don't do this" he said shaking his head tears forming in his eyes

"I'm not doing anything, I was just in the way and it's over now. So don't worry about me"

"Sophie" he said trying not to let his tears fall "Please let me handle this, you need to get away from him"

"I am fine Calum, don't worry" she said going to leave but Calum grabbed her upper arm, watching out for her bruises, pulling her back gently

"Sophie I will kill him if he touches you again"

"Then get ready for jail" she rolled her eyes taking her arm back and walked out of the room

"Wyatt!" Calum yelled walking up to Wyatt angrily

"What do you want Calum?" Wyatt asked turning around but gasped as he got punched in the face

"Calum!" Luke said running out of the school trying to stop the scene

"What the hell man!?!" Wyatt asked getting his footing, just as he got it Calum grabbed his collar pushing him against the outside wall of the school

"Don't you ever hurt her again" Calum growled pushing him against the wall before dropping his to the ground

"What was that?" Ashton asked surprised

"I'll tell you later" Calum rolled his eyes

"Calum!" Luke yelled pointing behind him. Calum turned around just in time to get punched in the face. But Calum got up quickly punching Wyatt right in the gut making him bend over in pain before getting kneed in the face. Calum grabbed his hair pulling it up so they were face to face.

"I dare you to touch me again and don't touch her, got it?" he said with gritted teeth staring right into his eyes

"Well tough nuts cause I'm here boyfriend" Wyatt said in pain

"Not for long you're not" Calum said throwing him to the ground before walking away with Luke, Michael, and Ashton in tow

"You'll regret that!" Wyatt yelled as he stood up

"My ass I will" Calum scoffed

"Calum why the hell did you do that?" Luke asked incredulously

"I did it for Sophie"
