The beginning of the car ride was very boring for the two families. Calum and Sophie slept for the first four hours, Calum woke up first and got on his phone waiting for Sophie to wake up.
"How'd your game go?" Susan asked seeing that Calum was awake
"Great, we won" Calum smiled
"Did you score any goals?" Dean asked glancing back
"Yeah, I actually scored the winning goal"
"That's great sweetie! I'm sorry we couldn't be there"
"You're fine, I'll score some more" Calum smiled
"Oh I know you will" Susan smiled turning back to the front and reading her book
"Cal" Sophie woke up looking over at Calum
"Hey Soph, how'd you sleep?" Calum asked
"Fine, how about you?" she asked rubbing under her eyes to wake herself up
"Perfect, how are you feeling?" he asked cautiously
"I'm fine Calum" she rolled her eyes
"I'm just making sure" he said "I just want this vacation to be a fun time for you"
"It will be; I promise" she smiled over at him "It won't be fun for you though because I'm going to lose putt-putt"
"Oh you wish"

"Nate eat your own food!" Sophie hit her brother as he tried to reach over to grab her food again
"You've barely eaten!" he defended
"I don't stuff my face like you do"
"Don't you just love brother sister arguments" Calum smiled looking over at Sophie and Nate
"Oh shut up Calum" Mali-Koa rolled her eyes taking a bite of her pancakes
"If you grab my food one more time I will stab you with this fork" Sophie threatened
"Well that's rude" Nate frowned
"Hey everyone calm down and eat your breakfast we have to get on the road again" David said coming with his cup of coffee to sit next to Calum
"How much longer?" Mali-Koa asked
"A couple hours, we just have to get to the cabin before noon" David shrugged "So let's get up now, take your food to go if you need. The moms are packing up the car"

"I can't take it anymore, take your son or my daughter because they are arguing too much" David complained through the phone to Dean
"Hey man you were the one who lost the bet" Dean laughed
"Yeah but usually Calum and Sophie are the annoying ones" David groaned
"Hey!" Calum and Sophie said offended
"David you know that I can have Sophie and Nate can't be in the same car" Dean said
"Then take Mali and we'll take Calum"
"That sounds like a fair trade" Dean said contemplating the idea
"No it doesn't!" Sophie said from the back "You didn't talk to us about it first"
"The driver decides its passengers" Dean said
"You are the worst" Sophie rolled her eyes
"I know" Dean smiled pulling over to the shoulder with David's car behind him and they switched kids
"Much better" David smiled
"Oh shush" all their kids rolled their eyes

"We are going to have to stop soon babe" Susan said taping Dean's shoulder
"We are almost there babe, can you hold it for another hour?"
"I said we are going to have to stop soon" Susan repeated
"Whatever you say sweetheart" Dean said grabbing his phone to call David and tell that car that they were stopping.
"Dad you know better than to say no to mom" Sophie laughed making Mali-Koa laughed too
"I know, don't even know why I tried' Dean shook his head smiling
"Happy wife, happy life" Sophie said like it was engraved into her brain, which it had
"Damn straight"

"Are you going to get anything?" Calum said looking over Sophie's shoulder as she looked at the gas station's aisles
"Maybe, we are going to stop at the store before we get to the cabin for everything but I might get some candy" she shrugged
"Grab some candy then" he said reaching from behind her to grab her favorite candy
"What if I didn't want that candy?" Sophie asked sassily
"This is your favorite candy, of course you want it" Calum rolled his eyes
"Fine then take these" Sophie said grabbing his favorite candy
"What if I didn't want that candy?" Calum mocked her
"Shut up and take the candy you doof"

"What are you getting for lunch?" Calum asked Sophie who was sitting next to him
"I don't know what are you getting?" she asked looking over at him
"The same thing I get every time" Calum smiled
"We are really close, so why are we stopping for lunch?" Nate asked
"Cause we are all hungry and we can't go to cabin for another half hour" David said looking through the menu
"We are going to be here for a week and we are already at a barbeque place" Nate rolled his eyes
"And it's the best so shush and find something to eat" Sophie said

"You know you can't talk to me when I'm stuffing my face with barbeque" Nate said with his mouth full
"And you were annoyed that we stopped" Sophie rolled her eyes
"Shut up" Nate grumbled
"We don't say shut up in this family" Susan said
"Yeah Nate, we don't say shut up" Sophie stuck her tongue out at him
"Ok Sophie" he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes

"Can we switch cars back?" Sophie asked Dean and David
"We are almost there so yeah that's fine" David nodded as they were walking to the car
"Yes!" Calum said grabbing Sophie and putting her over his shoulder
"Calum" she laughed hitting his back
"I can't hear you, I'm too busy carrying you to the car" he said
"I can walk myself Cal"
"No you can't, I've got this" he said seriously
"Calum! Put my sister down or so help me God" Nate yelled
"I'm just helping her to the car" Calum said putting her down as they got to the car
"Shut up Calum"
