Just Saying

"Baby girl wake up" Sophie groaned rolling on the other side and burying her head in the pillow

"Go away" she grumbled

"Come on Soph, we have school" Calum chuckled shaking her a bit more

"Exactly, let's just skip today" she said rolling over to face him. She squinted her eyes open at him to see him smiling.

"We aren't skipping; you've never skipped a day in your life" he chuckled

"Ok, so let's start today"

"We'll skip some other, we have an English test today" he said pulling her blanket off of her making her whine and try to reach for it.

"Give it back" she whined

"Nope, we have to take that test and then tomorrow is Saturday and we can sleep in" Calum said moving the blanket further away

"Can I wear one of your sweatshirts?" she asked sitting up and wiping her eyes

"Already brought it" he said throwing the sweatshirt right next to her making her smile and grab it

"Thank you" she smiled getting up and going to the bathroom while he went over to her desk sitting in the spinning chair. He got out his phone and spun in the chair while he waited for her to get ready.

After a while she came out of the bathroom with her hair and makeup done and leggings and his sweatshirt on. She walked over grabbing her stuff from the desk and stuffing it in her bag and slinging her bag over her shoulder.

"Your mom and dad left for work already, they said that they would be home late" Calum said as he grabbed his own bag and followed her out the door

"What's new" she rolled her eyes jogging down the stairs

"I'll stay over tonight if you want, so you're not alone. Or you can come over to my place" he offered as they walked into the kitchen grabbing a banana while she grabbed an apple.

"I was planning on it anyways" she smirked going to the counter and jumping up to sit on it. Calum came over and leaned up against the counter right next to her.

"We can watch a movie if you want, I know you still haven't seen Insurgent" he said leaning back and looking up at her

"And you haven't either, because you promised to watch it with me" she smiled cheekily knowing well that he watched it with Michael

"Yeah let's go with that" he chuckled looking back forward and taking a bit out of his banana

"Loser" she rolled her eyes running her fingers through his hair. He closed his eyes and leaned into her touch lolling his head back

"You love me" he smiled lazily

"Sadly" she chuckled stopping her movements and hoping down from the counter

"No keep doing that" Calum whined keeping his eyes closed

"We have an English test to take" she smirked grabbing her bag and yelping and running as he chased after her. She ran out the house as he followed her closing the door behind him and chasing after her to the sidewalk. He got to her wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her back.

"Got you" he whispered into her ear

"Calum" she laughed hitting his hands away "Let me down"

"As you wish" he smiled letting her go and standing next to her as they walked to school.

They live only a block away from the high school, because their parents didn't want to drive them every day or buy them a car. They could take the bus, but it's full of people they don't like and it's much more peaceful to walk with each other. Sophie's birthday is coming up as well, so her parent might buy her a car, and of course she'd drive Calum around and let him use it. They will basically share the car.

"Sophie!" someone yelled once they got on school property, Calum and Sophie turned and saw Wyatt running up to them.

"Hey" Sophie smiled turning and wrapping her arms around his neck

"Hey babe" Wyatt smiled kissing her quickly as his arms wrapped around her waist.

Sophie and Wyatt have been dating since junior year, they were in the same gym class. They had to do this thing where the teacher made them pair up with the other gender, and Wyatt and Sophie were paired up.

They hit it off, obviously

They've been dating ever since. Apparently to everyone they were relationship goals, and everyone wanted to be them. But to Calum they were awful.

Calum was the one who got the calls at 10 at night almost every other night about how Wyatt treats her so badly. He's always making her pay for their dinners how he stands her up for dates.

Calum rolled his eyes as Wyatt grabbed Sophie's butt in the middle of the courtyard.

"Um excuse me, yeah so Sophie and I have a class to get to, so if you don't mind I'd like to get there" Calum said crossing his arms sassily as he watch the two pull apart

"Hey no need to get feisty man, she's my girlfriend I can take her myself" Wyatt rolled his eyes wrapping an arm around her waist as she cuddled into his chest. Calum looked at Sophie who was avoiding eye contact.

"Ok whatever, I'll see you in class Sophie" Calum scoffed walking away to class

"Who shoved a stick up his ass?" Wyatt laughed walking towards school with an arm around her waist

"No one" Sophie said looking up at him confused "Why do you say that?"

"He's all stuck up and uptight, he needs to chill" Wyatt scoffed

"He's fine, he didn't say anything" Sophie said confused

"Oh so you like him now?" Wyatt asked surprised moving his arm so he could look at her

"No, I never said that" Sophie said defensively

"Well it sure does seem like it" Wyatt scoffed

"I don't like Calum, Wyatt. He's my best friend" she said looking up at him

"You know what, whatever, go run off to your little boy toy" Wyatt sneered walking away. Sophie stood there incredulously

"Hey Soph... what's wrong?" Elizabeth asked walking up to Sophie seeing her stare in the way Wyatt just left

"Yeah, yeah" Sophie shook her head smiling at Elizabeth "Let's just get to class"

"Ok" Elizabeth said confused walking next to Sophie talking about a bunch of random things until they got to class.

"I'll see you at lunch" Sophie smiled stopping in front of the class

"See ya" Elizabeth waved rushing off to her own class. Sophie walked in sitting in her seat next to Calum in the middle row to the very right

"What'd he do this time?" Calum asked not looking up from his notes

"He didn't do anything" Sophie shook her head getting her stuff out

"Then why'd you walk with Elizabeth and not him?" Calum asked looking over at her

"Um" she said scratching the back of her neck

"Exactly" he rolled his eyes turning back to his notes 

"Calum don't" she whispered defeated

"I won't, I'm just saying" he shook his head looking forward as the teacher came in. Sophie paid attention as the teacher started teaching, as the teacher started talking she felt Calum move his hand to her knee giving it a reassuring squeeze and keeping it there the rest of the class.
