Hey guys! So what do you think so far? I think its better than some of the other stuff I've tried. I've decided that I'm gonna update every day or two, so enjoy the chapter and I'll update tomorrow! =)
Nikki's POV
I woke up the next morning feeling... Different. I took a quick shower, and got dressed, wearing shorts, a 'Sexy and I Know It' t-shirt with a purple 1D sweatshirt over it with 1D in rainbow on the front. I put on a thin line of eyeliner and some mascara, and let my hair stay down. I got my stuff and started walking to school.
As I walked, I saw Starr walking, so I ran to catch up.
Starr's POV
I woke up the next morning to my ipod playing Youth and Wiskey. I sang along, getting dressed. I took a shower, blow-dried and straightened my hair, then got dressed, putting on a Falling in Reverse t-shirt with a black jacket over it, not bothering with my wrist-bands. I put on some black skinny jeans with my knee-high black converse with purple laces. I put on some dark blue eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, and some mascara. I looked at the time. Realizing I was late, I ran out the door. I got about a block from my house when I heard a familiar voice calling my name.
I turned around to see Nikki running toward me, so I waited. "Hey Nikki!" I said.
"Hi." She said, slightly breathless. Once she caught her breath, she started talking. "Hey, does today feel weird to you?"
The question confused me. "Weird how? Feels normal to me..."
She shrugged. "I dunno, maybe its just my imagination." She said, then we continued on. We got to the school and I almost immediately spotted Shelly.
"Shelly!" I called to her, and she came over with a worried expression.
"Oh... Uh, hey..."
"Hey, what's wrong?" Then I felt it. I looked around, nervous. Nikki should be crowded by 'friends' by now... Oh no.
"Uh, well.... Nikki, I sorta have bad news." Shelly tried to say, but I could see her expression darken. She noticed it too.
A group of girls walked by, and she ran up to them. "Hey guys, what's up?" She tried talking to them. Just as I feared, they laughed and walked away.
I hung my head down. "Chelsea told everyone. She's no longer popular..." Shelly nodded her head.
I ran up to Nikki. Her eyes had a mix of emotions. "I.... I'm not popular anymore... But, in a way, I'm glad. It was such a... A plastic life... But who will I sit with at lunch?" She looked up at me.
Shelly walked up. "I joined the outcasts this morning, I bet they'll accept you." She said.
"They will? But... I'm a directioner. I thought you had to dress all dark and like screamo and whatever to be one of you."
I chuckled dryly. "We accept anyone who isn't accepted anywhere else. Most of us dress dark, only because we're the only ones that aren't accepted. We accept everyone. We would even accept Chelsea if she was humble enough to join."
She still looked unsure. "You'll understand someday, when you've been with us for a while. Come on, lets get to class." We walked to our 1st hour english class together, talking and laughing as I lightened her mood. I couldn't concentrate... She reminded me too much of myeself freshman year... Except she was a senior like me. I took notes, not really paying attention, and when the bell rang, Nikki and I walked out of class together. We started toward our lockers, when we got knocked down in the same spot I did yesterday.
"Oops. Did i do that?" Chelsea said sarcastically, then walked off with the pops.
"I'll show you how sorry you're about to be!" i said under my breath, dropping my bag and walking toward her. I was stopped by something grabbing my arm.
