Dirk wasn't a ruler anymore. He was a normal college student who looked up to a famous adventurer. Jake English. Jake traveled the world, going on adventures, making discoveries. And Dirk was just a robotics student. He wanted to meet Jake and he wanted to be with Jake. He was in love with Jake. He knew he felt this way before but in a way that seemed like a dream. So he just kept dreaming. Dreaming that he had him in his life.
Jake felt the same way. He dreamed about a king. He dreamed about a kingdom where he was a nobody who fell in love with a somebody. Now he was somebody and his king wasn't real. He wanted him to be. But he wasn't. And Jake was alone on his adventures. Looking for him.
So they didn't meet in this life either. Maybe the next? They have both felt alone for so long and they deserve to find each other. Just to fill the gap in their lifes. The gaps in their hearts.
