Kankri was giving a political speech when he saw some chaos in the crowd. He though it was nothing. That was until he heard security talking about a suspicious man shoving his way to the front. He did his best to stay clam and continued to deliver the speech. He did he best to not stutter. Then there were gunshots and panic broke out. Kankri ducked down behind the stand. He ducked into the position you would into for a tornado or some kind of extreme weather.

Cronus was in the crowd when the guns were fired. Instead of fleeing like everyone, he stayed to make sure Kankri was safe. Then the man who fired the gun ran up to the stand and aimed his gun down at Kankri. The ran up to the stage and let his heart take over, he started to act without thinking.

Kankri looked up at the man aiming a gun at him. He let tears fall. He didn't want to die like this. He wanted to find Cronus. He could do it now. He knew he could. He didn't want to die. The man cocked his gun and Kankri ducked down. He heard a gun fire, but didn't feel anything. He hesitantly looked up and screamed in horror. He shot to his feet and froze. It was him, the one from his dreams, the guy he watched sing, and the one he would do anything form. Cronus fell onto the smaller man and gave him a hug. Kankri struggled to stand under all the sudden weight. He returned the hug, but when he placed his hand on hid back, he felt something warm and sticky. He looked at his hand over Cronus's shoulder to see it was covered in blood. He started to sob.

Cronus fell to the floor. Kankri laid next to him. He couldn't stop crying. He had step what seemed like one thousand years looking for this man, and when he found him he took a bullet for him. And now he was going to lose him. The bullet went into his lungs through his back. He was going to die.

He placed a hand gently on Kankri's cheek. And tried to calm him down and did his best to assure him that he was going to be okay. It helped some but not much. Cronus then started to sing a song of his from one of his past lives. A song he wrote about Kankri. The smaller man curled up to him and listened. The peace was broken by another gun shot, and Kankri screaming in pain. Cronus help him tight and started to cry as well. The gunner then turned the gun on himself, and there was one last loud bang.

Their world faded to black and they died there together. Whispering one last set of words.

I love you

Their spirits were free, and even though they died as soon as they finally met, their love was still eternal.
