Rose was walking down the street silently. Winter had just begun and a light snow started to fall. The wind was crisp and cold. The breeze slowly started to pick up and it started to get harder for her to walk. Her nose and cheeks became a light pink color as she walked. She walked close to the window of a local café, the warmth comforting. The sweet smell of coffee warming her spirit. Then suddenly she heard a faint thud on the window and turned her head in shock. What she saw on the other side shocked her even more. The pink in her face stretched back to ears and became a rosy read. She placed her hands that were cozy in her mitten onto the glass, against the hands on the other side.

Kanaya sat in her favorite café by the window. She watched the snow fall slowly and gracefully to the ground. She smiled and took a sip of her coffee as she watched the people go by. The she saw someone she didn't expect. A girl with short blonde hair and purple eyes. She was pale and beautiful. Kanaya jumped up in surprise, slamming her hands on the window in disbelief. A blush spread across her face all the way to the back of her ears. The girl turned her in surprise and placed her hands on her own. She felt her eyes fill up with tears of joy.

Rose looked at the girl whose hands she touched through the glass. Her short shiny hair. Her faint skin and her beautiful out fit. She knew it was her.

As soon as they found each other, they knew. They saw the person they had been dreaming about. The one they had been looking for the past, who knows how many years. It must have been one thousand. One thousand years of searching and they were finally together.

Without lifting their hands off the glass they walked to the door of the café. Rose threw open the door and leaped into the arms of the girl she had been dreaming of. Kanaya let the tears of joy fall as she buried her face into Rose's shoulder. They found themselves sitting together laughing and smiling. And then Rose was the first to say the three words they had been both longing to say.

I love you.

And she meant it. They lived together happily. They grew old together. They raised a family together. And they died together. When they died they didn't get another life. Their souls were free. And they were together for the rest of eternity.
