*knock, knock*
"Who is it?" Sam called from inside his hobbit hole.
"It's Lili!"
Sam opened the door and smiled at her. "Come in."
"What is it that you wanted to do today?" Lili asked, leaning against the wall in the kitchen.
"Do you want to bake?" Sam asked, gesturing to the ingredients in the counter.
"Sure! I'll warn you though, I'm not the best baker. I can't cook either, I've burned dinner a few times at the Oakenshield/Durin household." Lili laughed.
"It seems pretty easy," Sam said, showing her the recipe, "it's just chocolate chip cookies."
"It's pretty easy to burn cookies." Lili said, putting flour into the bowl. They laughed and began putting different ingredients into the bowl.
"Okay, three cups sugar?! That's a lot of sugar!" Lili took the container of sugar and started measuring it in.
"Lili! That's not sugar!" Sam shouted.
"Oh my gosh! It's salt!" Lili and Sam stood there gaping at the bowl of ruined cookie mix.
"We're still gonna bake it right?" Lili asked. They both started laughing and just decided to mix it up and bake it.
"We could give it to someone as a prank." Sam suggested, while they were waiting for the cookies.
"Like Vili and Merry!" Lili said.
Sam smiled, "That's a great idea, Merry was supposed to drop by today and pick up his coat he left here. If Vili comes too..."
"We can give them the cookies." Lili finished.
As the cookies were finishing up, the doorbell rang. Lili and Sam shared a questioning look, and then smiled as Sam answered the door.
"Hey Pippin, Hey Zili, What are you doing here?" Sam asked, letting the two in.
"I smelled cookies." Zili grinned.
"Merry told me he was coming over, so I thought we could have a party!" Pippin said.
"You can't just invite yourself over to my house." Sam rolled his eyes.
"We've been friends long enough for you to know that I can." Pippin said, placing a hand on his shoulders.
The doorbell rang again.
"That must be Merry!" Pippin answered the door. "Hey brother." He embraced Merry and Vili strode into the house and hugged Zili.
"I guess this is a party now." Vili laughed.
"We made cookies for you guys." Lili said, holding in her laughter. Sam gave her a knowing look and took the cookies out of the oven.
"Oh, yum." Zili said, picking one up. Vili, Merry and Pippin all ran over too and grab a cookie.
"Ack! What's in these?!" Pippin gagged, after taking his first bite.
"Are you poising us or something?!" Merry shouted, throwing the cookie on the floor.
"Do you guys not know how to bake or something?!" Zili said, getting water and trying to wash the taste out.
"I've had worse." Vili said, continued to chew with a sour expression.
"So what do you think?" Lili asked through fits of laughter.
"Awful."
"Terrible."
"I hate you."
