"Vili, are you ready for your surprise?" Merry said, getting ready to remove his hands from Vili's eyes.
"Why are you blocking my view when it's pitch black out here anyway?" Vili asked, she rolled her eyes but of course you couldn't see.
"That's... Not important. Ta-da!" Merry removed his hands and Vili squinted.
"Um, yay... What is it?" She could faintly see some dim lights and a fire pit.
"We are going to sit out here and look at the stars and just have some fun with each other." Merry explained. He walked over to the fire pit and started up a fire. In the light of the newly built fire, Vili could see more of her surroundings.
The dim lights were solar powered "candles" in little glass cases, giving the illusions of fire. They were placed in a crooked circle. There was a big tree next to the small clearing they were in. There had been a ring of bricks inside the ring of lights and inside was soft mulch.
"Come and roast a hot dog." Merry smiled, passing Vili a roasting stick as she sat down in the chair beside him.
"This is really cool! Did you make this?" Vili asked, placing her hot dog over the fire.
"Me and few other guys made it, we agreed that any of us could use it for dates, if we needed a last minute plan." Merry chuckled and Vili laughed with him.
"It would be perfect for Kili then." Vili joked.
After finishing their hot dogs and then having a few marshmallows, they looked up at the stars.
"What's that noise?" Vili asked, glancing around.
"Probably the wind chimes that we also put in that tree." Merry said.
"It's pretty, and calming." Vili felt Merry's hand on top of hers. She held his hand tightly.
"Did you have fun?" Merry asked.
"Best date ever." Vili kissed him on the cheek.
