Yuri had ran. She chased after her sister. Whichever way her sister turned, she turned. Mixed emotions swirled in her mind but... the terror of losing her father was all she could think of. She felt something tighten around her left foot. She fell as people surrounded her. "Prepare yourself, Princesses."
"This is for the good of Kohka Kingdom."
Her body forced her up. She looked at them, swords in their hands. Tears in her eyes, she looked at them. They raised their weapons. She heard her sister yell Su-Won's name. She felt the wind as someone rushed in and saved them. But her eyes didn't see anything. The tears blinded her. The rain blinded her. The blood... Everything was so distant. She raised her head to the savior.
Whatever they were talking about, she didn't want to hear. She just wanted to curl into a ball and wake up. This was all a dream. This was all a dream. This was all a dream. But one voice brought her back. "Hak..." her sister whimpered.
"I'm sorry for leaving your sides, Princess Yuri, Princess Yona." he said, referring to them both.
Yona looked at him. "Hak... are you... on our side?" Yona asked, both of them hoping the answer wasn't a 'no'.
"I was told by the king to protect you two." he said with a smile, "No matter what happens, I will obey that command."
Yuri didn't care right then and there anymore. All she could do was stare at her hands. Her hands that she used to hug her father. The hands that she used when she played with Hak and Su-Won. The hands she used to cradle her dead father's head. The hands she wasn't able to use to save her parents. The hands she would definitely use to save her sister.
Her body was defiant, however. When she stood, she body swayed, attempting to fall over. She took a step forward before collaring. She crumpled to the floor, tears dripping down her face. Blinking, she attempted to see what was in front of her. It seamed as if everything was blackened. The only thing she saw was Hak and Su-Won, fighting. But as she gazed into Su-Won's eyes, she saw something she never thought she would feel for him. Sadness, regret. She hated this. She was so weak. She didn't try to move as a sword was held to her throat. "Stop right there, Lightning Beast!"
Hak... When she thought of it, Hak was known by a lot of things. Thunder Beast, Son Hak, General Hak, Servant, and of course, Hak.
Yuri didn't want to know what was going on anymore. All she knew was that she failed to save her father. That she forced her problems to Hak. That she was a weak girl and a lousy princess.
She felt something wiz by her. She felt herself being lifted. She felt the wind in her ears. And she heard Soo Min, her father's 'Right Hand Man'.
She didn't want to admit it. Especially not to Min Soo. When she heard him ask, "Is His Majesty really dead?" she nodded. Her vibrant blue eyes replaced with hollow ones. It wasn't right. Being the princess. Being a weak princess.
Yuri felt her coat being lifted from her and the wind rushing by as someone ran. She looked up. She saw him, running, holding both their cloaks. She closed her eyes, letting Hak lead her out.
Yuri looked at the sky. What had happened? Was she in her room? No... these were the forest's right outside the Hiryuu Castle. She sighed. Looking up into the sky, her body froze. She was alone. "Hak?? HAK???!!! Big sister Yona?" She couldn't cry. She had no more tears left. She closed her eyes. 'Please wake up... Wake u-'
"Yuri?" Yona asked.
Yuri opened her eyes. Staring straight at her sister, she felt her body wilt. She was so weak. She instinctively reached up to her neck. The pendant was still there. She gently pulled it off. Slipping it under the helm of her dress. She looked at her sister. "Where's Hak?" Yona shook her head.
