Chapter 8 Yoon and Ik-Soo

Yuri bit her lip. 'This boy... was from my dream! What's going on? Does that mean... I'm going to kill this boy?'

'Did you get a dream? I guess it's one of the horrible points of being the Douryuu. Seeing glimpses of a future you don't want.' Rena said simply. Her voice strong, 'Yuri, I'm surprised you handled it so well...'

Yuri clung to the sheets, terrified. Yoon cocked his head. "How do you know my name?" he asked, dropping the slice of lemon into her mouth.

Yuri sat up, sucking on the lemon. "Wsyer Yuna?" (Where's Yona?) Yoon was picking up blankets when he looked at her. "The girl and boy? They're over there." he said, pointing at the other end of the small room.

Yuri tried to stand. A pain shot up from her leg as she pushed herself onto her feet, causing her to fall over. Yoon ran over. "Jeez. You are a big pain in the butt."

Yuri didn't respond as he helped her under the covers. All Yuri knew was that she was going to be the end for him.

Yuri opened her eyes. It was dark outside. She stood up. The pain in her leg was barely noticeable. Yuri picked up her cloak, slipping it on. She walked outside, wanting to explore. The orange haired princess wasn't about to let pain get in her way, not today. Yuri walked to a ledge next to a waterfall. Yuri sighed, sitting down, her legs swung over the edge. She sighed. Her eyes traced the stars. They seemed to be the same wherever she was... "Princess Yuri?"

Yuri turned, confused. "Who's there?" she asked, quietly.

A man with blonde hair walked over. He sat next to her. "I'm Ik-Soo. Princess Yuri... You've been through a lot, haven't you?"

Tears began to trace down his face. Yuri cocked her head, oblivious. "What do you mean? I haven't been through a lot. I'm just really bored."

Another voice sighed. "Hey. Don't you know anything?"

Yuri thought about that for a moment. 'I know that people I don't even know yet will be killed because of me...' "No." she said instead. "I don't know anything." Yuri looked up, smiling.

Yoon looked at her, surprised. Yuri continued. "I don't know much, but I do want to learn. So I'll start at the beginning. I'm Princess Yuri of Kohka Kingdom. Nice to meet you."

Yoon sat down next to her, on her right side, Ik-Soo on her left.

"Well, I'm Yoon." he said simply. 'I hate the king and his family but she seems so different...'

"So, Yoon. I have a question. How much of the outside world do you know?" Yuri asked, cheerful.

Yoon went red. In truth it was barely anything. "Well..."

Yuri giggled. "Well, I wanted to thank you."

Yuri pulled her legs up. She knelt on the floor, bowing her head down. The man and boy both looked at her shocked. "Wha?" Yoon asked.

Her hands resting on the floor, her head low, Yuri spoke softly. "Thank you for helping me, my sister and Hak. Thank you for saving their lives." Yuri got up, dusting her dress off. "Tonight is really beautiful, don't you think?" Yuri turned, walking away, leaving a shell-shocked Yoon sitting there. Yuri felt her stomach drop in pain. Yuri looked up at the sky. One star seemed to glow so brightly. Tears formed in her eyes. 'Father...' She quickly rubbed them away. 'I need to stay strong...' Yuri felt someone watching her. Turning slowly, a boy jumped from a tree branch away. Fear rose in her body. Yuri shook her head. She walked back to the hut. She sat, leaning her head against the wall. Slowly, she felt her eyelids grow heavy.
